Why my Breckwell Tradition P24FS Indoor Fireplace feeds pellets, but will not ignite?
    • P
      Philip LopezAug 21, 2025
If your Breckwell Indoor Fireplace feeds pellets but will not ignite, consider the following: * The air damper might be open too far for ignition; try pushing the air damper in closer to the side of the stove for startup. * There might be a blockage in the igniter tube or inlet for the igniter tube; find the igniter housing on the backside of the firewall. * The burnpot might not be pushed completely to the rear of the firebox; make sure the air intake collar on the burnpot is touching the rear wall of the firebox. * The igniter element might be bad; put power directly to the igniter element. * The control board might not be sending power to the igniter; check the voltage going to the igniter during startup.

Why does my Breckwell Tradition P24FS Indoor Fireplace have a smoke smell coming back into the home?
    • B
      Barbara OnealAug 26, 2025
If you smell smoke coming back into your home from your Breckwell Indoor Fireplace, it could be due to: * A leak in the vent pipe system. Inspect all vent pipe connections. * A bad gasket on the combustion blower. Inspect both gaskets on the combustion blower to ensure they are in good shape.

    • V
      Victoria MendozaSep 2, 2025
If the convection blower in your Breckwell Indoor Fireplace shuts off and comes back on, it could be due to: * The convection blower overheating and tripping the internal temperature shutoff. Clean any dust off of the windings and fan blades. * A circuit board malfunction. Test the current going to the convection blower.

What to do if my Breckwell Indoor Fireplace won't feed pellets, but the fuel feed light is on?
    • S
      Sarah AguirreSep 5, 2025
If your Breckwell Indoor Fireplace will not feed pellets, but the fuel feed light comes on as designed, it could be due to: * A blown fuse on the control board. Remove the control board. * The high limit switch has tripped or is defective. Wait for the stove to cool for about 30 - 45 minutes. * A bad auger motor. Remove the auger motor from the auger shaft and try to run the unit. * An auger jam. Start by emptying the hopper. * A loose wire or connector. Check all wires and connectors that connect to the auger motor, high limit switch, and the Molex connector. * A bad control board. If the fuse is good, the wires and connectors check out good, and the high limit switch did not trip, test for power going to the auger motor.

Why does the high limit switch keep tripping on my Breckwell Tradition P24FS Indoor Fireplace?
    • D
      donaldsoncoreySep 8, 2025
If the high limit switch keeps tripping on your Breckwell Indoor Fireplace, it could be caused by: * The convection blower overheating and tripping the internal temperature shutoff. Clean any dust off of the windings and fan blades. * Leaving the stove on the highest setting for extended periods. The highest heat level setting is designed for use over short periods. * Burning fuel other than wood pellets. Breckwell pellet stoves are designed and tested to use wood pellets. * A power surge or brown out situation. Check to see if a surge protector is being used on the stove. * A malfunctioning high limit switch. If the other items check out ok, replace the high limit switch.

What to do if my Breckwell Indoor Fireplace shuts off and the #3 light flashes?
    • C
      Christopher HernandezNov 13, 2025
If your Breckwell Indoor Fireplace shuts off and the #3 light flashes, it could be due to several reasons: * The hopper might be out of pellets, so refill it. * The air damper might be too far open for a low feed setting; if burning on low, try closing the damper all the way. * The burnpot might not be pushed completely to the rear of the firebox; ensure the air intake collar on the burnpot touches the rear wall of the firebox. * The burnpot holes might be blocked; remove and thoroughly clean the burnpot. * There might be a partial blockage in the air inlet, interior chambers, or exhaust system. Consult the maintenance section of the owner’s manual for cleaning procedures. * The auger shaft might be jammed; start by emptying the hopper and removing the auger motor. * The aug...

What to do if my Breckwell Tradition P24FS shuts off and the #2 light flashes?
    • S
      Stephanie CrawfordNov 17, 2025
If your Breckwell Indoor Fireplace stove shuts off and the #2 light flashes, it could be due to several issues: 1. A blocked airflow switch hose or stove attachment pipes. Try unhooking the air hose from the air switch and blow through it to check for blockages. Use a wire coat hanger to clear any blockages. 2. The air inlet, burnpot, interior combustion air chambers, combustion blower, or exhaust pipe blocked with ash or foreign material. Follow the cleaning procedures in the maintenance section of the owner’s manual. 3. The firebox not properly sealed. Ensure the door is closed and the gasket is in good shape. Latch the ash door properly if it has a latch, and ensure the gasket is sealing well. 4. Incorrectly installed vent pipe. Check that the vent pipe installation meets the crite...

Why does the glass on my Breckwell Indoor Fireplace soot up so fast, and the burnpot overfills?
    • D
      Darrell SmithDec 1, 2025
If your Breckwell Indoor Fireplace glass “soot’s” up quickly, the flame is lazy, dark, and has black tips, and the burnpot overfills, consider these potential causes: * The stove or vent pipe is dirty, restricting airflow through the burnpot. Follow all cleaning procedures in the maintenance section of the owner’s manual. * The vent pipe is installed improperly. Check to ensure the vent pipe has been installed according to the criteria in the owner’s manual. * The air damper is set too far in (closed) for a higher setting. Pull the damper knob farther out away from the side of the stove and try to burn the unit again. * The burnpot holes are blocked. Remove the burnpot and thoroughly clean it. * The air damper is broken. Visually inspect the damper assembly. * There is a block...
