necessary.Theobjective’smagnication(1x,2xor4x)canbeadjustedbyturningtheobjective
holder(12).Itisrecommendedtostartobservationsalwayswiththelowestmagnication
(1x).Nowlookthroughtheeyepieces(1)atthebinocularhead(3).Adjustthesharpnesswith
thefocuser(4).
4. Focusing and dioptre compensation
Setthedioptrescale(2)totothemiddleposition(shinyring)andobserveanobject.Now
closeyourlefteyeandadjustthefocuswiththefocuser(4)foryourrighteye.Then,closeyour
righteyeandadjustthefocusforyourlefteyewiththedioptrescale.Now,themicroscopeis
adjustedforyoureyes.Notethesettingofthedioptrescaleyouneedtouseinfuture.
5. Eye distance
TheAnalythSTRisequippedwithanadjustablebinocularhead.Tosetyoureyedistance,
movetheeyepiecesagainsteachotheruntilyoufoundtheidealposition.
6. Replacing the Eyepieces (optional)
Toreplacetheeyepiecesyouneedtoloosentheclampscrewontheundersideoftheeyepiece
holder.Youcantheneasilyremoveandreplacetheeyepieces.
Theclampscrewsserveonlyasprotectionsothattheeyepieceswillnotfallout.
Note:
TheLEDilluminationhasalifespanofapprox.20,000hours.Inthecaseofatechnicalerror
pleasecontacttheservicecenter.
7. Adjusting the friction of the focusing drive
ItcanhappenthattheMicroscopeheadisnolongerheldbythefocusingdriveandshuts
downbecauseofhisnetweight.
Byturningthetwofocusingwheelsinoppositedirections,thefrictioncanbeadjustedmore
rmlyorloosely.
8. Cleaning and maintenance
Yourmicroscopeisahigh-qualityopticalinstrument.Pleasetakecarethatneitherdustnor
ngerprintstakeplaceontheopticalsurfaces.Ifnecessary,cleanthemicroscopebodywitha
slightlymoistenedsoftcloth.Useaseparatecleanclothwithsomedropsofalcoholtoclean
theopticalsurfaces.Afterusing,themicroscopeshouldbeprotectedwithitsdustcover.
