The Brewista Artisan Gooseneck Kettle is a variable temperature digital kettle designed for precise water heating and pouring, particularly suited for beverages like coffee and tea. Its primary function is to heat water to a user-specified temperature and maintain it for a period, offering control over the brewing process. The gooseneck spout is engineered for a controlled, steady pour, essential for methods like pour-over coffee. The kettle features a digital interface that displays temperature in either Fahrenheit or Celsius, allowing for accurate temperature setting. It also includes preset temperatures for common hot beverages, simplifying the selection process. Temperature Control:
The kettle offers precise temperature control, allowing users to set the water temperature to their exact preference. Fast Boil Function: For quick heating, the kettle includes a "Fast Boil" function. Pressing the "Fast Boil" icon initiates rapid heating to the boiling point, which varies based on altitude. Once boiling temperature is reached, the kettle emits three beeps, and the fast boil function automatically stops. The actual water temperature remains displayed for 10 minutes before the kettle enters sleep mode. This function can be stopped at any time by pressing the "Fast Boil" or "Power" icon.
Keep Warm Function: The "Keep Warm" feature allows the kettle to maintain the set water temperature for up to one hour. When activated by pressing the "Keep Warm" button, the corresponding indicator light illuminates. If the kettle is removed from its base, the "Keep Warm" feature deactivates. To resume, the kettle must be returned to the base, and the "Keep Warm" button pressed again. If the "Keep Warm" feature is not active, the kettle will reach the set temperature and then shut off.
Auto-Off Feature: The kettle is designed with an auto-off mechanism to ensure safety and conserve energy. After reaching the set temperature and if the "Keep Warm" function is not active, the kettle will shut off automatically.
Timer Feature: A built-in count-up timer is accessible by removing the kettle from its base, which causes the LCD to display "00:00". Pressing the "Timer" icon starts the count-up timer, which can track time up to 59 minutes and 59 seconds. Pressing the "Timer" icon again while it's counting stops it, and a second press resets it to zero. When the kettle is returned to the base, the LCD reverts to displaying the current water temperature.

Safety Features: The manual emphasizes several safety warnings, including not filling the kettle above the "max" fill line, not immersing the kettle or base in water, and not allowing children to play with the device. It also warns that the heating element may emit residual heat after use.
Cleaning: Regular cleaning is recommended to maintain the kettle's performance and appearance. The exterior of the base and kettle can be cleaned with a damp, soft cloth or sponge. The interior of the kettle should be cleaned with dish detergent and thoroughly rinsed with water. A bottle brush can be used for effective interior cleaning. Abrasive cleaners should be avoided. (1.2L) of lukewarm water, pouring the solution into the kettle up to the "max" fill line, bringing the solution to a boil, letting it cool for 15 minutes, discarding the solution, and then rinsing thoroughly with fresh water.
