screwhead against the turn
(Fig. 7).
3. The cutters should be turned
or a new cutter set replaced
and firmly screwed (to a 25 Nm
torque).
When reassembling, the toothed
washers should be below the nuts
and the nuts screwed up proud
to the cutter beam (Fig. 7).
The cutters are wearing parts and
are therefore not covered by any
guarantee.
6.3. Changing the cutter bar
Damaged cutter bars should be
replaced because of the unbal-
anced running connected with that.
For reasons of safety, this work
should be carried out by a service
station or specialist dealer autho-
rised by Brill.
6.4. Care
Contaminating dirt and grass cut-
tings residue are most easily re-
moved immediately after mowing.
Disconnect the mains plug and
lay the mower on its side. The
machine can then be cleaned by
brush and wiper cloth.
A
The electric mower should
not be cleaned with running
water and, in particular not with
a water pressure jet cleaner.
6.5. Storage
The machine should be stored in
an enclosed space. To save space,
the handlebar frame can be folded
up. For this purpose, the lower
joint-tensioning grips (Fig. 1, Pos. 2)
should be slackened and the bars
drawn out of the latches sideways.
The transom tightening grips (Fig. 1,
Pos. 1) also should be slackened
at the folding point and the upper
part of the transom folded down
to the rear.
A
Caution! When folding
up, care should be taken
to ensure that the lead is not
buckled.
6.6. Storage hints
(over the Winter months)
We recommend giving the lawn
mower a thorough cleaning (not
using running water) and storing
in a dry frostproof place.
General
Malfunctioning mostly only occurs
when the machine is not treated
properly, maintained or serviced.
The following table includes the
most likely malfunctions to occur
and their remedying.
In cases of further disruptions,
please contact your nearest Brill
Service Centre or the specialist
dealer authorised by Brill.
A
Caution! Repairs that re-
quire technical knowledge
should only be carried out by an
authorised specialist dealer.
A
Caution! For safety reasons,
only original Brill spare
parts are to be used or those ap-
proved by Brill.
We would draw attention to the
fact that, under the product liability
legislation, we are not liable for

improper repairs or when during
an exchange of parts such parts are
used which are not manufactured
by or approved by ourselves, and
the repairs are not carried out by
an authorised Brill service station
or an authorised specialist dealer.
The same restrictions also apply for
supplementary and accessory parts.
