What to do if there is no HF arc-striking sound, but wiping welding can strike arc on my BRIMA Welding System?
    • H
      Heather SolomonAug 16, 2025
If the abnormal indicator is not lit, you cannot hear the HF arc-striking sound, but wiping welding can strike an arc on your BRIMA Welding System, check the following: * The primary cable of the arc-striking transformer might have poor contact with the power board. Tighten it. * The arc-striking tip may be oxidized, or the distance is too far. Remove the film oxide from the burner or adjust the distance between burners to 1mm. * The MMA/TIG switch may be damaged. Replace it. * Some HF arc striking components may be damaged. Check and replace them.

How to fix erratic welding output current or potentiometer control issues on a BRIMA TIG 160S?
    • G
      Gary WalkerAug 20, 2025
If you're experiencing erratic welding output current or the potentiometer is out of control on your BRIMA Welding System: * The 1K potentiometer may be damaged. Replace it. * Connectors may have poor contact, especially inserts. Check them.

Why is there no welding output from my BRIMA TIG 160S, even though I can hear the HF arc-striking sound?
    • R
      Robert NguyenAug 25, 2025
If the abnormal indicator is not lit, you can hear the HF arc-striking sound, but there is no welding output from your BRIMA Welding System, it could be due to: * A broken torch cable. * A broken grounding cable or one that is not connected to the work piece. * Relaxation between the output terminal of the positive electrode, the gas-electricity system output terminal, and the inner machine.

How to troubleshoot a BRIMA Welding System when the power indicator is off and there's no welding output?
    • D
      Dennis LongAug 28, 2025
If the power indicator is not lit, the fan isn't working, and there's no welding output from your BRIMA Welding System: 1. The power switch may be damaged. 2. Ensure the electric wire net connecting to the input cable is working correctly. 3. Verify that the input cable does not have a broken circuit.

Why am I getting big MMA spatter and difficulty with alkalescent electrodes on my BRIMA Welding System?
    • S
      Samantha HoffmanSep 1, 2025
If you are experiencing big MMA spatter and difficulty using an alkalescent electrode with your BRIMA Welding System, the electrode connection may be incorrect. Try exchanging the earth cable and torch cable.

What to do if the abnormal indicator is lit and there is no welding output from my BRIMA TIG 160S Welding System?
    • J
      Joe BrownNov 6, 2025
The abnormal indicator light and no welding output on your BRIMA Welding System can be due to several reasons: * Overload current protection may have started. Turn off the machine and restart it after the abnormal indicator turns off. * Overheat protection may have started. The system should return to normal in 2-3 minutes. * The inverter circuit may be malfunctioning. Disconnect the power supply plug of the main transformer on the MOS board (close to the fan insert VH-07) and restart the machine. If the abnormal indicator remains on after these steps: 1. Turn off the machine and disconnect the power supply plug of the HF arc-striking power source (close to the fan insert VH-07), then restart the machine. 2. If the abnormal indicator is still on, some fieldistors on the MOS boar...

Why is the power indicator light on but the fan isn't working and there's no welding output on my BRIMA TIG 160S?

      jjacksonNov 10, 2025
If the power indicator is lit, but the fan isn't working properly and there's no welding output from your BRIMA Welding System, the following could be the cause: * The input cable may be connected to 380V power, which activates the over voltage protection circuit. Connect the input cable to 220V power and restart the machine. * An erratic 220V power supply (input cable is too thin and long) or connection to an overloaded electricity network might trigger the over voltage protection circuit. Increase the input cable's section or tighten the input contact. Turn off the machine for 2-3 minutes before restarting. * The cable connecting the switch and power board may be loose. Tighten it. * Continuously turning the power switch on and off can activate the overload voltage protection ci...
