3.2 Step 2: Attaching the hoses
!
We recommend that you first arrange all parts you need in
front of you. You will need a 3/8" or 1/2" supply which is also
connected to your kitchen tap (see fig. 3).
Recommended for installation of the wall mount: two screws
(e.g. 5 mm in size) and two wall plugs (if necessary). Please use
appropriate screws and wall plugs for the type of wall.
Please follow the diagram below and the steps in the right order.
A a) Turn off the cold water supply.
b) Put the hose (1) in place.
c) Insert the appropriate gasket in the respective internal thread
of the two hose ends (3/8").
d) Now connect the correct end of the hose (1) to the filter head
inlet (3/8"). This is labelled “IN” (inlet) and marked with an
arrow. Make sure the gasket is seated correctly!
B Now connect the other end of the hose (1) to your cold water
tap, and make sure the gasket is correctly positioned! If your
cold water tap does not fit the 3/8" connector on the hose (1),
use the supplied adapter if required. Please go to your nearest
supplier for adapters in other sizes.
C a) Put the hose (2) in place.
b) Put the correct gasket (3/8") into the nut of hose (2).
D Connect the correct end of hose (2) to the outlet on the filter
head, labelled with the “OUT” arrow.
E Place a suitable gasket into the nut of the hose, which is already
attached to the kitchen tap fitting, and connect it to the other end
of the hose (2). If you cannot connect the end of the hose (2) to
the end of the hose on your tap fitting, use the adapter supplied.
!
The max. tightening torque for the G3/8" connections must
not exceed 14 Nm! Only hose connections with gaskets (10)
of original BRITA hoses may be used because hoses with
conical screw connections damage the connections of the
filter head and invalidate any warranty claims!
