WIRING

= Precedence order, when more than 1 wire is activated at the same
time, higher precedence wire will affect lower precedence wire. P1 being
the highest priority.

POWER WIRES
1. Route Power Wires to the vehicle firewall towards the battery and follow the
factory wiring harness through the firewall. If drilling a hole is required, ensure
that no component is damaged from the drilling.
2. Install a fuse (user-supplied) to the end of the RED wire, and connect it to the
battery. (for correct fuse, refer to Fuse Rating chart)
3. Connect the BLACK wire to the factory chassis ground next to the battery.
NOTE: Ensure that all wires of the power cable are securely connected to the power
source.
TRAFFIC ARROW
1. Activate Traffic Arrow function by applying +VDC to:
ORANGE wire for Left Arrow.
BLUE wire for Right Arrow.
Above 2 wires together for Center-Out.
NOTE: If the stick is equipped with Dual Color lightheads,Traffic Arrow will display
in Color 2.
2. To change the Traffic Arrow flash pattern, tap
+VDC
to YELLOW wire:
a. quickly 1 time to next pattern. (refer to Traffic Arrow Patterns chart).
CONTROL WIRES
1. Route Control Wires towards the dash area to a switch panel (user-supplied).
2. Connect the required wires to a controller (switch panel) or power source.
CONTROL PANEL SIGNAL INDICATOR
Connect WHITE wire to the display signal input of a compatible Control Panel to
display current lighthead activity.
b. quickly 3 times to revert back to Traffic Arrow Pattern #1.
WARNING MODE 1 and MODE 2
Each Warning Mode is capable of storing / saving one flash pattern.
To change the flash pattern:
1. Activate a warning Mode by applying +VDC to
BROWN
, or
GREEN
wire.
BROWN wire for Warning Mode 1.
GREEN wire for Warning Mode 2.
2. Once a warning mode is activated, tap +VDC to
YELLOW
wire:
a. quick 1 time to next pattern (refer to Flash Pattern chart).
b. quickly 3 times to revert back to Pattern #1.
To set color mode (for Dual Color Models only):
1. Disconnect all power, then apply +VDC to BROWN (or GREEN),
and
RED wire together for 3 seconds to enter color setting mode; the stick will
display the current color mode for the activated warning mode.
2. Tap
+VDC
to
wire to scroll through the color modes:
a. Single Color 1 b. Single Color 2 c. Dual Color 1&2 d. Dual Color 2&1
3. Save and exit color setting by disconnecting all power.
LOW POWER OPERATION (DIM FUNCTION)
Activate dimming function by continuously applying
+VDC
to
YELLOW
wire.

Summary

Wiring Single / Dual Color

Black Wire Connection

Connect the BLACK wire to the chassis ground.

Red Wire Connection

Connect the RED wire to +VDC with a rated fuse.

Orange Wire Function

ORANGE wire controls the rear left arrow function.

Blue Wire Function

BLUE wire controls the rear right arrow function.

Green Wire Function

GREEN wire activates Warning Mode 2.

Brown Wire Function

BROWN wire activates Warning Mode 1.

Yellow Wire Function

YELLOW wire controls flash pattern selection and low power.

Power Wires Installation

Fuse Installation

Install a fuse on the RED power wire for battery connection.

Chassis Ground Connection

Connect the BLACK wire to the factory chassis ground.

Control Wires Routing

Control Wire Routing

Route control wires to the dash area to a switch panel.

Control Wire Connection

Connect control wires to a controller or power source.

Traffic Arrow Operation

Traffic Arrow Activation

Activate Traffic Arrow using ORANGE (Left) and BLUE (Right) wires.

Traffic Arrow Pattern Change

Tap YELLOW wire to cycle through Traffic Arrow flash patterns.

Warning Mode Operation

Warning Mode Activation

Activate Warning Mode 1 (BROWN) or Mode 2 (GREEN).

Warning Mode Pattern Change

Tap YELLOW wire to cycle through Warning Mode flash patterns.

Dual Color Mode Setting

Enter Color Setting Mode

Apply +VDC to BROWN, WHITE, and RED wires for 3 seconds.

Scroll Through Color Modes

Tap WHITE wire to select Single Color 1, 2 or Dual Color 1&2, 2&1.

Save Color Setting

Disconnect all power to save and exit color setting mode.

Low Power Operation

Dim Function Activation

Continuously apply +VDC to the YELLOW wire for dimming.

Control Panel Signal Indicator

Indicator Connection

Connect WHITE wire to a Control Panel for lighthead activity display.

Firmware Selection

Enter Firmware Selection Mode

Apply +VDC to RED, WHITE, YELLOW wires simultaneously for 3+ seconds.

Navigate Firmware Options

Tap YELLOW wire to cycle through available firmwares.

Save Firmware Selection

Disconnect all power to save and exit firmware selection mode.

Q-Lock Mechanism

Lighthead Removal

Flip Q-Lock levers, then pull lighthead slowly and evenly.

Lighthead Installation

Connect new lighthead wire, align, and push evenly into place.

Secure Lighthead

Flip and close all Q-Lock levers to secure the lighthead.
