1. Connect the Band Pass Filter, Measuring Amplifier and Level Recorder as shown in
Fig.4.1.
2. Fit the Level Recorder with a 50 dB Range Potentiometer, plus pen and roll of fre-
quency graduated Recording Chart QP 01 43 or QP 0124.
3. Set Level Recorder controls
SENSITIVITY
RECORDING MODE "AC Log", "DC log" or "DC Lin" whichever is ap-
propriate for Measuring Amplifier output signal.

The pointer of the BATTERY indicator should deflect to the right-hand region of its
scale. If in the left hand region, replace or recharge the internal batteries of the Le-
vel Recorder.
4. Calibrate the Band Pass Filter and Measuring Amplifier combination as described in
items 1 to 4 of section 3.2.
5. Keeping the reference source connected, step the INPUT SECTION ATTENUATOR
