An ultra-compact unit combining a strobo-
scope
with a tachometer . A 4-digit liquid
crystal display indicates
tacho frequency
(from a
choice of separately available trans-
ducers)
or strobe lamp repetition rate in
hertz
or r /min. The flash rate may be syn-
chronized
externally or driven from an · inter-
nal generator whose frequency range is 5
to 125 Hz (300 to 7500 r/min). Recharge-
able
batteries contained in the handle give
a
minimum of 2,5 hours' operation from
one charge. The xenon lamp provides a con-
centrated beam of
white light whose bright-
ness is independent of frequency above
25 Hz (1500 r/ min).
