ADDITIONAL SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
FOR WELDERS
Welders must not be used by children or
untrained persons.
Always wear a suitable mask to protect
your eyes.
Wear dry, grease-free clothing to protect
your body.
Wear gloves that are suitable for the
application.
Only connect the appliance to
an electric group which is
protected with an earth
leakage switch (30 mA).
Check the appliance before use.
Should the appliance be damaged, it must not be
used.
If the appliance is damaged, have the damage
repaired by an authorized repair agent.
Do not use the appliance if the mains
cable is damaged or worn.
Before use check the extension cord for
possible wear and damage. In case of damage,
immediately remove the mains cable from the
wall socket.
Do not touch the cable before the mains
cable has been removed from the wall socket.
Do not use the appliance in the presence
of children and/or animals.
Only use the appliance in dry, well-ventilated
surroundings. Do not place the appliance close
to a wall.
Provide for a sufficient ventilation to keep
the air in the work area free from accumulation of
flammable vapours.
Do not use the appliance near inflammable
materials.
Do not use the appliance where risk of fire
and/or explosion may arise.
Do not use the appliance on places that
have been cleaned with chlorinated materials.
Do not use the appliance on varnished
materials and surfaces.
Avoid exposure of your skin to the
ultraviolet rays caused by the arc.
Avoid touching the exposed parts of the
welding circuit.
Make sure that the mains cable does not
touch the welding cable.
Before putting the appliance down, switch
off the appliance and wait for the welding
cable to cool down completely.
Beware that after switching off
the appliance needs a short
period to cool down.
