Check for low or restricted water flow through the heater. Ensure the filter is clean or replace it if necessary. Inspect and clean the pool pump. Adjust the water valves to optimize flow. Other factors include cold weather, an insufficient pump timer setting, not using a pool cover, high wind speed, or a shaded pool area. Using a pool cover and constructing a windbreak can help. Also, consider setting the pool pump timer for a longer run time. If problems persist, call for service.
