  • Ventilation: Vents must be provided for combustion air on both sides of the built-in cabinet. BBQ bowl vents must remain unobstructed.
  • Wall Opening Dimensions:
    • 4 Burner Model: "A" = 31", Depth = 19 1/2"

Usage Features

  • Lighting Procedures:
    • Main Burner(s): Requires opening the lid, setting control knobs to "OFF," opening gas supply, then pushing in and slowly rotating the control knob 1/4 turn counter-clockwise until a click is heard (3-4 seconds duration). If igniters fail, burners can be lit with a match.
    • Rotisserie Burner: Requires opening the lid, setting control knobs to "OFF," opening gas supply, then pushing in and slowly rotating the control knob 1/4 turn counter-clockwise until a click is heard (3-4 seconds duration). The rotisserie burner has a fixed, non-adjustable setting.
  • Cooking Temperatures:
    • HIGH Setting: For fast warm-up, searing, and burning off food residue.
    • MEDIUM Setting: For most grilling, roasting, baking, hamburgers, and vegetables.
    • LOW Setting: For smoke cooking, rotisserie cooking, and lean cuts like fish.
  • Indirect Heat Cooking: Allows cooking poultry and large cuts of meat slowly by using heat from an adjacent burner, reducing flare-ups. A drip pan can be placed under the meat to catch juices.
  • Rotisserie Cooking: Designed for large pieces of meat and poultry, providing self-basting action for moist and juicy results. Requires centering and balancing meat on the spit rod. A foil or aluminum drip pan is advisable to prevent flare-ups. Warming Rack must be removed when the Rotisserie Burner is ON.
  • Burn-off: Before first use, burn the grill at "HI" setting for about five minutes to remove odors or foreign matter.
  • Preheating: Necessary for certain foods; 5 minutes for high cooking temperatures, 2-3 minutes for lower temperatures.
  • Safety Precautions:
    • DO NOT use in enclosed areas; use OUTDOORS ONLY.
    • Maintain specified clearances from combustible surfaces.
    • DO NOT store flammable vapors/liquids or spare gas cylinders near the appliance.
    • Keep fuel hose and electrical cords away from hot surfaces and dripping grease.
    • NEVER test for gas leaks with a flame.
    • NEVER light grill with lid closed or before checking burner tubes.
    • Protect children from the grill during use and until cooled.
    • In case of gas smell, shut off gas, extinguish flames, open lid, and contact gas supplier if odor persists.
    • In case of a grease fire, close gas supply, turn off burners, and leave lid closed until fire is out.

Maintenance Features

  • Gas Leak Check: Perform before first use and at the beginning of each season (or when changing LP cylinder). Use a soap solution (1 part liquid detergent, 1 part water) on all gas connections; bubbles indicate a leak.
  • Burner Cleaning:
    • Remove burners from the grill.
    • Use a stiff wire (e.g., coat hanger) or narrow bottlebrush to clean inside burner tubes.
    • Wire brush the outside surface to remove corrosion.
    • Clean clogged holes with a stiff wire (e.g., paper clip).
    • Inspect for damage (cracks/holes) and replace if necessary.
    • Ensure valve orifices are properly seated inside burner tubes upon reinstallation.
    • Perform at least monthly or after extended periods of non-use to prevent "FLASH-BACK" (fire in/around burner tubes caused by obstructions like spider webs).
  • Cooking Grids Cleaning: Wash with mild soap and warm water solution. Season metal surfaces with cooking oil occasionally. Burn off excess grease/food residue for 5 minutes at high setting after cooking.
  • Flame Tamers & Heat Shields Cleaning: Wash periodically with soap and warm water solution. Use a wire brush for stubborn residue.
  • Grease Tray Cleaning: Empty and wipe down periodically; wash with mild detergent and warm water.

    • Shut off gas supply and disconnect fuel line.
    • Remove and clean cooking grids, flame tamers, burners, and warming rack.
    • Cover gas valve orifices with aluminum foil.
    • Brush inside and bottom of grill with a stiff wire brush; wash with mild soap and warm water, rinse, and dry.
    • Remove foil and check orifices for obstruction.
    • Check electrode as instructed.
    • Reinstall components and reconnect gas source.
    • DO NOT line the bottom of the grill housing with aluminum foil, sand, or other grease absorbent substances.
  • Troubleshooting: Provides solutions for common issues like grill failure to operate, yellow flame, and flash-back, including steps to check gas supply, burner alignment, plugged orifices, and igniter misalignment.
