What to do if the mandrel doesn’t rotate on my Butler Tyre Changer?
    • B
      boydjoshuaAug 10, 2025
If the mandrel doesn’t rotate, it might be due to an inverter overload, undervoltage, or overvoltage alarm. Try shortening any extension cables or increasing the conductor section, then disconnect and reconnect the machine. Lift the motor pedal and wait for the automatic reset. Alternatively, it could be an overtemperature alarm. In this case, wait for the motor system to cool down, as the machine will not restart until the temperature goes below the safety threshold.

Why don't the bead breaking arms hold their position on my Butler AIKIDO.4?
    • D
      Donna KennedyAug 15, 2025
The bead breaking arms may not hold their position because the compressed air supply pressure is below 6 Bar. Check the supply pressure. If the pressure is adequate, the positioning cylinder may be badly adjusted, requiring technical assistance.

How to troubleshoot slow mandrel rotation on Butler AIKIDO.4 Tyre Changers?
    • C
      Candice WallAug 20, 2025
If the mandrel does not reach the maximum rotation speed, it could be due to increased mechanical resistance in the gearmotor system. Try turning the mandrel without a wheel for a few minutes to heat the system and reduce friction. If the mandrel still doesn't accelerate, you may need technical assistance.

What to do if the arm advance cam activates immediately on my Butler Tyre Changer?
    • D
      David HollandAug 26, 2025
Immediate activation of the arm advance cam could be due to several reasons: 1. The feeler pin might be unscrewed. Ensure it is screwed in tightly. 2. The connectors might be extracted. Check the connectors in the rear part of the arm. 3. The feeler pin position might be badly adjusted. Make sure to set the feeler pin position correctly.

What to do if the mandrel rotates slowly and doesn't respond to the motor pedal on Butler Tyre Changers?
    • T
      Timothy SmithAug 30, 2025
If the mandrel rotates slowly and doesn't respond to the motor pedal, it may be due to pedalboard reversible de-calibration. To resolve this: 1. Keep the pedal in rest position. 2. Keep the machine connected to the net. 3. Wait for 30 seconds to allow the pedalboard recalibration automatic attempt to complete.

Why doesn't the mandrel rotate counter-clockwise on my Butler Tyre Changer?
    • M
      Mary JonesSep 4, 2025
If the mandrel does not rotate in the counter-clockwise direction, the pedalboard microswitch may be broken. Replace the microswitch.
