Do you have a question about the BVM PNP F-16 and is the answer not in the manual?
Connect the Stabilator tube to its receptacle, aligning the servo pin.
Drill 1/16 holes through the bypass and formers for #2x5/8" SHCS.
Mark the tailpipe bell location on the hatch flange using a ruler.
Remove screws attaching the tailpipe to stock turbine rails, slide tailpipe aft.
Drill 1/16 holes through the bypass and into the forward/aft formers.
Mark an opening for wires in front of the former for electrical connections.
Remove the front socket head cap screws from both stock turbine rails.
Remove the rear socket head tapered screws from both stock turbine rails.
Remove the stock turbine rails and the bottom portion of the bypass.
Cut out the marked hole for the wires in the bottom of the bypass.
Install the bypass using #2x5/8" SHCS into the drilled holes.
Install the custom BVM turbine rails using existing screws from stock rails.
Align the tailpipe using marks and ensure it's centered between the turbine rails.
Pre-drill 1/16" holes for the tailpipe and secure it with #2x5/8" SHCS.
Drill two 3/32" drain holes in the bypass bottom for fire safety.
Set up turbine brackets, install engine, and secure screw holes with thin CA.
Cut a notch in the bypass top for fuel lines and coat with Heat Shield.
Route the fuel lines and cables to the engine from the front of the model.
Install engine components under the cockpit compartment per manufacturer's instructions.
Lubricate the wing tubes with Dry Lube to ease installation and removal.
Connect the Aileron servo plug and install a servo clip for secure connection.
Connect the NAV light plug to its designated port.
Insert wires into the wing while installing it onto the fuselage.
Slot the forward wing bolt hole to accommodate the hex drive with main gear down.
Tighten the front and rear clamp bolts using a 9/64" hex driver.
Measure aft of the fuselage joint and drill a 1/16" hole for CG reference.
Install a #2 button head screw on each side at the CG location.
Balance the fully assembled model with empty tanks and gear down for level balance.
Cut templates from the manual and use them with tape to align for control setup.
Important: Always check the direction of all flight controls before each flight.
Make the first flight with the Gyro system turned off. Refer to BVM article 'Gyro Sense'.
Set transmitter timer for 7 min; land early on first flight to check fuel consumption.
Perform a taxi test including range check, brake check, and fuel system bubble check.
Begin takeoff roll slowly, maintain runway center, use up elevator, and be ready for crosswinds.
Set trims in air for straight and level flight; adjust for landing gear deployment.
Practice approaches and go-arounds to become familiar with low-speed handling.
Land with power on, nose high, touching main wheels first.
Drill and inject Aeropoxy into the rudder pocket flange to reinforce it.
Reinforce stab torque drive pockets by drilling and injecting Aeropoxy.
