The Byron Statics KCS-312B is a portable cassette player with a USB display, designed for playing cassette tapes and USB devices, as well as recording audio from tapes to USB.
This device primarily functions as a cassette player, allowing users to listen to pre-recorded cassette tapes. It also features a USB port, enabling playback of music from USB devices and recording audio from cassette tapes directly to a USB drive in WAV format. The unit includes a built-in microphone for recording and a 3.5mm earphone jack for private listening.
The cassette player can be powered by two 'AA' (UM-3) batteries or via a USB power supply. For battery operation, open the battery door, insert two 'AA' batteries following the polarity diagram, and close the door. It is crucial to install batteries correctly to avoid damaging the unit. Do not mix old and new batteries, or different types of batteries (alkaline, standard, rechargeable). If the unit will not be used for an extended period, remove the batteries to prevent leakage and potential damage. For USB power, insert a micro USB cable (not supplied) into the USB port and connect it to a suitable USB power supply. It is recommended to remove any batteries when using USB power.
The unit features an Automatic Stop System to protect cassette tapes and prevent wear. When the tape ends during play or fast forwarding, the PLAY BUTTON will automatically release, stopping the cassette from running.
To preserve battery life, it is recommended to set the FUNCTION switch to the "TAPE" position when the unit is not in use.
Waste electrical products should not be disposed of with household waste. Please recycle where facilities exist. Consult your Local Authority or retailer for recycling advice.
