  • Avoid extended play at very high volume.
  • If you experience ringing in your ears, reduce the volume or turn off the unit.
  • Do not use while driving a motorized vehicle, as this is dangerous and illegal in some states.

  • Do not attempt to disassemble the unit.
  • Ensure pins or other foreign objects do not enter the unit.
  • Avoid dropping the unit or subjecting it to strong shocks.
  • Do not leave the unit in a car where it can become extremely hot, as this can cause damage and soften shocks.

Maintenance Features:

  • Cleaning: Clean the unit with a damp (never wet) cloth. Do not use solvent or detergent.
  • Storage: Avoid leaving the unit in direct sunlight, hot, humid, or dusty places. Keep it away from heating appliances and sources of electrical noise (e.g., fluorescent lamps, motors).
  • Tape Head Cleaning: Keep the tape head clean to prevent distorted sound or improper tape speed. After every 10 to 20 hours of use, depress the PLAY BUTTON and use a small cotton swab with tape head cleaner or alcohol to clean the tape head, capstan, and pinch roller.
  • Cassette Tape Care:
    • Use high-quality tapes for optimal reproduction.
    • 60-minute cassettes are recommended for optimum performance.
    • Keep cassettes away from excessive heat or cold.
    • If there is slack in the tape, remove it before inserting the cassette by inserting a pencil into the hub and rotating clockwise.
