Overview

This document describes the Ca'Lefort Clf-WD15 Wine Cooler, a 15-inch compressor dual-zone wine cooler designed for storing up to 28 standard 750ml Bordeaux bottles. It offers both freestanding and built-in installation options and features a luxury and classic style with an aluminum alloy handle.

Function Description:

The Ca'Lefort Clf-WD15 Wine Cooler is designed to store and cool wine, maintaining optimal temperatures for various types of wine. It features an advanced cooling system and a dual-zone capability, allowing for different temperature settings if applicable (though the manual primarily describes a single temperature range for the unit). The interior is illuminated with three LED lighting options (white, blue, and amber) to enhance visibility and aesthetics. The unit is equipped with a digital temperature control panel for easy temperature adjustment and monitoring.

Important Technical Specifications:

  • Model Number: Clf-WD15
  • Capacity: 28 standard 750ml wine bottles. The internal shelving is configured to hold 5 bottles on each of the 5 shelves and 3 standard bottles in the bottom of the cabinet. Note that wine bottles on the bottom shelf cannot be longer than 12 inches.
  • Temperature Range: 40°F-65°F (5°C-18°C). The temperature can be adjusted in 1°C or 1°F increments.
  • Unit Dimensions (W x D x H): 14.8" x 22.4" x 34"
  • Packaging Dimensions (W x D x H): 18.5" x 26.8" x 36.6"
  • Net Weight: 71 lbs
  • Gross Weight: 86.6 lbs
  • Voltage: 115V/60Hz
  • Rated Current: 0.9A
  • Refrigerant: R600a (flammable, environmentally friendly, does not damage the ozone layer, does not increase the greenhouse effect). The room for installation must be at least 1 cubic meter per 8 grams of refrigerant.
  • Door: Double tempered grey color glass door with a seamless stainless steel frame and reversible hidden hinges.
  • Shelves: 5 removable carbonized wooden shelves.
  • Control Panel: Display and control panel with capacitive touch electronic controls.

Usage Features:

  • Easy Temperature Control: The digital temperature control panel allows users to easily set and monitor the desired temperature within the 40°F-65°F range. Touching the UP or DOWN marks temporarily displays the set temperature.
  • Interior Lighting: Three interior LED lighting options (white, blue, and amber) can be cycled through or turned off by pressing the light control button.
  • Temperature Display Toggle: The temperature display can be switched between Fahrenheit and Celsius by pressing and holding the light button for five seconds.
  • Flexible Installation: The unit is designed for both freestanding and built-in installation. For built-in installation, a 1/4" (6 mm) space on each side and at the top is recommended for proper air circulation. For freestanding installation, 5 inches (127mm) of space between the back and sides is suggested.
  • Reversible Door: The door hinges are reversible, allowing the door to open from either the left or right side, providing flexibility for placement.
  • Child Safety: The manual emphasizes safety precautions, including never allowing children to operate, play with, or crawl inside the appliance. When disposing of an old wine cooler, the door should be removed, but shelves left in place to prevent child entrapment.
  • Power Surge Protection (Recommended): It is suggested to use a power surge protector for all electrical devices/appliances, especially in areas prone to power surges/outages, to protect the control boards.
  • Initial Setup: Before connecting to power, the wine cooler should stand upright for 24-36 hours to reduce the possibility of a malfunction in the cooling system. The interior surface should be cleaned with lukewarm water and a soft cloth.

Maintenance Features:

  • Cleaning:
    • Interior: Turn off power, unplug, remove items and shelves. Wash interior surfaces with a solution of 2 tablespoons of baking soda to 1 cup of warm water. Wash shelves with a mild detergent. Wring excess water from sponges/cloths when cleaning near controls or electrical parts.
    • Exterior: Wash with warm water and mild liquid detergent, rinse well, and wipe dry with a soft cloth.
  • Automatic Defrosting: The unit defrosts automatically. Condensate collects in a drainage channel behind the rear wall and evaporates from a drip tray near the compressor.
  • Charcoal Filtration System: The wine cooler includes an active charcoal filtration system to ensure air purity and an odor-free cabinet. The filter is located at the bottom of the rear panel inside the cellar and should be changed every 12 months.
    • Filter Replacement Procedure: Remove bottles from the two shelves in front of the filter, remove and set aside the shelves. Hold the filter, turn it 45 degrees counter-clockwise, and pull it out. Replace with a new filter, insert it into the hole, and turn it 45 degrees clockwise.
  • Troubleshooting Guide: The manual provides a comprehensive troubleshooting guide for common issues such as the unit not operating, not cooling enough, compressor/fans cycling frequently, light not working, vibrations, excessive noise, display errors (E1, E2, E5, E6, EU), flashing interior light, frost in the cabinet, and the door not closing properly.
  • Power Failure Protection: Most power failures are corrected within a few hours and should not significantly affect temperature if the door opening is minimized. For longer outages, users are advised to take steps to protect contents.
  • Energy Saving Tips: Locate the cooler in the coolest area of the room, away from heat sources and direct sunlight. Ensure proper ventilation and never cover air vents. Only open the door for as long as necessary, as frequent opening affects internal temperature.
