Why does my Cadet Heater breaker trip immediately?
    • E
      Edward TaylorAug 8, 2025
The breaker might be tripping immediately due to several reasons: * The supply voltage may not match the heater's rating, so verify that the supply voltage is correct. * The circuit could be overloaded. Ensure that the total amperage of all heaters on the circuit does not exceed 80% of the circuit breaker's amperage rating. Consider using a lower wattage heater or reducing the number of heaters on the circuit. * There might be a short circuit in the supply or heater wiring. Inspect all wiring insulation for damage and repair any shorts before resetting the breaker. * The circuit breaker itself may be defective, in which case it should be replaced.

What to do if my Cadet The Perfectoe UC072 will not shut off?
    • J
      Jeremy FoxAug 13, 2025
If your Cadet Heater will not shut off, consider these possibilities: * Heat loss from the room may be greater than the heater's capacity. Try closing doors and windows, providing additional insulation, or installing a higher-wattage heater (if your circuit is rated for more capacity). * The thermostat may be defective. Adjust the thermostat to its lowest setting and wait two minutes to see if the heater responds. If it continues to run and the room temperature is above 50 degrees, replace the thermostat. * The thermostat may be wired incorrectly to the heater. Refer to the thermostat documentation and correct the wiring.

Why Cadet Heater fan is operating, but does not discharge warm air?
    • P
      Patty PetersAug 16, 2025
If your Cadet Heater fan is running but not discharging warm air, the issue could be: * Insufficient element temperature. Allow a few moments for the element to reach operating temperature. * Incorrect supply voltage. Verify that the supply voltage matches the heater rating. * A failed element. In this case, replace the element.

What to do if my Cadet The Perfectoe UC072 does not run?
    • S
      Stephen BishopAug 21, 2025
If your Cadet Heater does not run, here are a few things to check: * The thermostat might be set too low. Adjust it to a higher temperature until the heater operates. * The heater may have tripped the manual reset temperature limit control. Press the manual reset button. * The power may not be on at the circuit breaker. Turn on the correct circuit breaker in the main panel. * There might be broken or poorly connected wires to the heater. Turn off the power at the circuit breaker and check the supply wire continuity and proper connection to the heater wires. * The thermostat could be defective. The entire heater, or any of its components may be checked for continuity to determine the cause of any problem. Repair or replace the heater.

Why does my Cadet The Perfectoe UC072 continually trips the manual reset temperature limit control?
    • M
      Michael GomezAug 26, 2025
If your Cadet Heater continually trips the manual reset temperature limit control, it could be due to: * Accumulation of dust, lint, or other matter inside the heater. Clean the heater. * Blocked airflow. Remove any obstructions and maintain a minimum distance of 6 inches from any inside corner or adjacent surfaces, and 3 feet for furniture or other objects placed directly in front of the heater. * A jammed fan or motor. Remove any obstruction and press the heater's manual reset button. * If none of the above is the cause, replace the heater assembly.
