Introduction

Infotainment

Read the following pages to become familiar with the infotainment system features.

Customer Assistance

Assistance is available to help with Bluetooth pairing, other mobile device interface, and operation support.

Radio

AM-FM Radio

Playing the Radio. Available sources are AM, FM, XM (if equipped), CD, My Media, USB, SD, Bluetooth, and AUX Input.

Tone Settings

Press the MENU screen button to display the following menus: Bass, Midrange, Treble, Surround.

Timeshift

Timeshift is the recording of a radio station for up to 25 minutes.

DSP Modes

If equipped with Bose Studio Surround® sound system, it will have four DSP modes including: Normal, Driver, Rear, Centerpoint.

Audio Players

CD Player

The player can be used for CD and MP3 audio. The system is capable of playing: Most audio CDs, CD-R, CD-RW, MP3 or unprotected WMA formats.

Rear Seat Infotainment

Rear Seat Entertainment (RSE) System

The vehicle may have an RSE system. Includes radio, CD player, USB, SD, audio/video jacks, headphones, and remote control.

System Operation

The video screens are on the back of the driver and front passenger seats. To use: Push release button, move screen, open screen to turn on.

Navigation

Using the Navigation System

Press the NAV button on the Home Page or the NAV icon in the application tray to access the navigation application.

Maps

Detailed Areas

Road network attributes are contained in the map database for detailed areas. Attributes include street names, addresses, and turn restrictions.

Navigation Symbols

Following are the most common symbols that appear on a map screen.

Voice

Display

Mode: Press Mode to change the screen background. This setting controls map colors.

Global Positioning System (GPS)

The position of the vehicle is determined by using satellite signals, various vehicle signals, and map data.

Phone

Bluetooth (Overview)

The Bluetooth-capable system can interact with many cell phones, allowing placement and receipt of calls in a hands-free mode.

Bluetooth Controls

Use the buttons on the infotainment system and the steering wheel to operate the Bluetooth system.

Bluetooth (Infotainment Controls)

Pairing

A Bluetooth-enabled cell phone must be paired to the Bluetooth system and then connected to the vehicle before it can be used.

Settings

Time and Date

Press + or - to increase or decrease hours, minutes, and AM or PM. Press 12Hr or 24Hr for 12 or 24 hour clock.

Language

This will set the display language in the radio, instrument cluster, and voice recognition.

Valet Mode (If Equipped)

This will lock the infotainment system, steering wheel controls, steering column, and vehicle storage locations.

Radio

Press to display the Radio Menu and the following may display: Manage Favorites, Tone Settings, Tag Song, Timeshift.
