What to do if status light is flashing on Calimar CMARSSG20-5 Lighting Equipment?
    • A
      Andrea CampbellAug 14, 2025
If your Calimar Lighting Equipment shows a flashing status light or the service light is on, it could mean several things: * The pool water may need more salt. Test the water's salt level and add salt if needed. * The cell might be clogged or dirty, so check and clean it. * The water temperature might be too low. If it's below 60 degrees, turn the system off. * There might not be enough water flow. Ensure the pump is running and check/correct all valve alignments. * There could be sensor tab issues. Clean off any calcium on the sensor tab and ensure there isn't an air bubble at the sensor tab in the cell housing.

Why is chlorine production low in my Calimar Lighting Equipment?
    • D
      David HaynesAug 21, 2025
If your Calimar Lighting Equipment is not producing enough chlorine, it could be due to a few reasons: * The cell may be blocked with debris, the water could be cold, or the salt level might be low. Check the cell and clean it, then check the salt level and water temperature. * There might be a problem with the power to the Control Center. Ensure the On/OFF Switch is on, the pump is running, and check the Circuit Breaker on the bottom of the Control Center, resetting it if tripped. * There may be no AC power to the Control Center.

Why is there no chlorine in my Calimar Lighting Equipment?
    • A
      Alejandra CunninghamAug 25, 2025
If your Calimar Lighting Equipment has low or no chlorine, it might be because the salt level is too low (less than 3,000 PPM). The System Status light may be flashing, and the service light could be yellow or solid. To fix this, increase the salt level by adding salt.

What causes high phosphates in Calimar CMARSSG20-5?
    • E
      Elizabeth HolderAug 27, 2025
If you're experiencing high phosphate or metal levels in your Calimar Lighting Equipment pool, it could be due to high nitrate levels or metals present in the pool water, phosphates in the pool water, new pool water, or improper shocking upon startup, or a clogged or dirty cell. Super-chlorinate the pool with an outside source if it is new pool water, or not shocked properly upon startup. Remove the cell from housing to clean it if it is clogged or dirty. Use phosphate remover as instructed if there are phosphates in the pool water.

Why is Calimar CMARSSG20-5 flashing on low output?
    • J
      Joy HughesAug 31, 2025
If the status light is flashing or the service light is on while your Calimar Lighting Equipment is operating at a low output percentage, it may be due to a low salt level, a dirty cell, or damaged cell blade coatings. To address this, set the output to “Boost” and then hold down the upward arrow button until the polarity lights begin to flash back and forth. Check to see if the status light has stopped flashing or the service light has turned off.

How to fix a leaking Calimar CMARSSG20-5 Lighting Equipment cell housing?
    • D
      Daniel MooreSep 7, 2025
If the cell housing of your Calimar Lighting Equipment is leaking from the cap (bottom of cell cap or through the cord hole), it could be because the O-ring may be improperly seated or the cell cap may be cross-threaded. Confirm that the O-ring has not been lubricated, clean the o-ring slot of any dirt or debris, and fully seat the o-ring into the slot before inserting the cell back into the housing. Unscrew the cap and confirm that the cap screws onto the housing without resistance.

Why did titanium legs break on my Calimar Lighting Equipment?
    • K
      Kenneth Thompson MDSep 10, 2025
If the titanium “legs” that hold up the cell blades have broken apart from the blades in your Calimar Lighting Equipment, it's possible that the legs have been eaten away due to corrosive water or the weld that held the “legs” and blades together has failed.

How to fix low chlorine in Calimar Lighting Equipment pool?
    • K
      kmeyersNov 16, 2025
If you have low or no chlorine residual in your Calimar Lighting Equipment pool, here's what you can do: * Add stabilizer to maintain 20-30 PPM, as per a pool professional's advice, if the stabilizer (Cyanuric acid level) is low. * Increase daily run time, recommending 1 hour per 10 degrees ambient temperature, if the run time is insufficient. * Increase the Sanitizer Output Level if the Chlorine Output percentage is set too low. * Increase the Sanitizer Output Level if there have been recent increases in weather temperature without adjusting the system's Sanitizer Output. * If there's a temporary chlorine loss due to heavy rain, leaves, fertilizer, heavy bather load, recent party, or pets using the pool or loss of salt due to rain or added water, set Sanitizer Output to BOOST (...
