RESCUE USE
Summary
C.A.M.P. “Goblin” is a safety line adjustment device for rescue in rope access by two people, for use in combination
with semi-static ropes EN 1891 Type A with nominal diameter between 10 and 11 mm.
Use
For this use the button [8] must be place in position
To use “Goblin” as a safety line adjustment device while conducting rope access rescue, the device must always
be connected to a fall-arrest attachment point (A) of the rescuer’s EN 361 full body harness. Do not connect
the device to EN 813 / EN 358 attachment points for suspension or for work positioning. The injured person
must be connected to the rescuer’s harness so that he can control their position and movement at all times.
The connection can be made with a connector (ƬJD). In this case the device must be combined exclusively
with EN 1891 Type A semi-static ropes with nominal diameter between 10 and 11 mm. The connection can also
be made with two connectors and a “Webbing Lanyard 26 cm” sling (ƬJE). In this case the device must be
combined exclusively with EN 1891 Type A semi-static ropes with nominal diameter between 10.5 and 11 mm.
Use for rescue involves additional risks with respect to single use: provide additional training to rescuers. Avoid
any possibility of slack being created on the rope, avoid lateral shifts from vertical. To calculate the minimum
clearance distance, refer to ƬJDE and chart C.
Marking
Rescue use is not covered by European regulation (EU) 2016/425.
