the fall height. The connection of the connector is indicated in the tab.K W DQG ƬJ K1 to K4. The user of
connectors with manual locking (ƬJ.) must avoid detaching them several times in the same working
day. For the proper use and for the connection to a reliable anchor point, and a sub-system and to other
fall protection systems, see )LJ .. Some situations can reduce the strength of the connector. Avoid
positioning situations that stress the connector lever ()LJ..); if it is not possible to avoid stresses on the lever,
choose to use ANSI Z359.12 connectors with greater lever resistance ()LJ.).
CHECKING AND MAINTENANCE – GOBLIN
After cleaning, lubricate the pins of the moving parts with silicone-based lubricant.
Note: cleaning and lubrication are recommended after each use in a marine environment.
CHECKING AND MAINTENANCE - CARABINERS
A carabiner looses half of its resistance when the gate is open (see Tab. K): check the correct operation the lever
prior to use: The lever must return against the connector body when closed, the automatic locking device must close
fully with about external help. Mud, sand, pain, ice, dirty water and other agents can compromise the operation. Do
not use connectors with defective operation. If an operational defect appears, clean and lubricate the mechanism
with a silicon based lubricant. Clean and lubricate are recommended after each use in marine environments. If, after
oiling, the defect persists, the carabiner has to be put out of use

Any product or component showing any defect or wear, or if in doubt, should be withdrawn from service
immediately. Each product in the safety system can be damaged during a fall and must be always inspected before
use it again. Do not continue to use a product after a major fall because a damage may have occurred, even no
external signs are visible.
