This document describes the Candy CATL 6108 GVSI Fully Automatic Washing Machine, which features fuzzy logic control.
Function Description:
This is a fully automatic washing machine designed for household use. It offers various washing programs tailored to different fabric types and levels of dirtiness, including Intelligent, Normal, Heavy, Gentle, Speedy, Eco, Water-saving, and Memory programs. The "Intelligent" program automatically adjusts the water level based on the clothing amount, while other programs allow for manual setting of wash, rinse, and spin times, as well as water level. The machine also includes a "Child Lock" function for safety and a "Water Retention" feature that allows users to contain water for later use.

Usage Features:
- Installation: The machine requires a single-phase two-pole grounded power outlet and must be placed on a dry, flat, solid floor away from direct sunlight and heat sources. It should not be placed on a carpet or in a wet area like a bathroom. The supporting feet are adjustable to ensure the machine is level. New water pipes are recommended for connection, and the inlet pipe fittings must be securely installed. The drain hose should not exceed 90cm from the bottom of the machine.
- Detergent: Low-bubble detergent is recommended.
- Temperature: Optimal operating temperature is 0°C to 40°C. If stored below 0°C, allow about 4 hours in room temperature before use to prevent damage from icing.
- Loading: The actual washing capacity depends on the thickness, size, and type of clothing. For loads below 1.0kg, avoid high-grade water levels.
- Pre-treatment: Before washing, ensure the inlet pipe is connected, the faucet is open, the power cable is plugged in, and the machine is stable. Check that the drain pipe is properly placed and not too high. Remove hard objects like keys, coins, and hairpins from clothes. Clean greasy or faded clothes separately. Fasten buttons and zippers, and turn clothes inside out. Place delicate items in a laundry net. Remove dirt from heavily soiled clothes before washing.
- Operation:
- ON/OFF Button: Powers the machine on and off.
- Start/Pause Button: Starts or pauses the washing machine.
- Program Button: Selects the desired washing program.
- Intelligent Program: Automatically sets the water level.
- Water Level Button: Manually selects the water level.
- Wash, Rinse, Spin Buttons: Adjust the duration of wash, rinse cycles, and spin time.
- Soak Button: Adjusts and sets the soaking time.
- Strength Button: Adjusts the intensity of washing water.
- Preset Button: Sets a delayed start time for the program. Once activated, the digital display shows the remaining preset time in hours.
- Child Lock: Activated by pressing "Program" and "Strength" buttons for 1.5 seconds.
- Water Retention: Activated via the "Rinse" button during program operation. The "water retention" light flashes and an alarm sounds every five minutes when the program reaches the last drainage, prompting the user to contain water. Press "Rinse" again to drain.
- Safety: Do not open the door cover during dehydration. Do not put hands into the drum while the machine is operating. Children should be supervised and prevented from climbing the machine. Do not disassemble, repair, or modify the unit yourself.
Maintenance Features:
- Filter Cleaning: The filter should be pulled out by pressing and holding the hook, the filter bag turned inside out, and washed to remove lint.
- Inlet Valve Filter Cleaning: This filter can be blocked by impurities and should be cleaned regularly (approximately every 2 months).
- Machine Cleaning: Clean the surface and barrel with a clean soft cloth. Open the cover for about an hour to air dry. Do not spray water directly on the machine or use thinners, detergents, kerosene, volatile oil, or alcohol. For dirty spots, use a soft cloth dampened with mild soapy water.
- Troubleshooting: The manual provides a comprehensive troubleshooting guide for common issues such as no display, no power, loose plug, drain pipe issues, water injection problems, water level sensor abnormalities, and motor or frequency transformer failures. It also addresses non-fault phenomena like residual water from factory testing, water inflow during washing, and intermittent dehydration. In case of damage to the power cord or plug, it must be replaced by a special service point or after-sales service personnel.
