  Your Canon Printer may not start or may stop during print jobs due to: * The print head overheating from continuous printing. Turn the printer off for at least 15 minutes to cool down the print head. * Printing high-resolution photographs and graphics. Wait for the print job to finish, as processing can take time. * A printer cable that is too long. Use cables shorter than 6.5 feet for parallel connections and 16.4 feet for USB connections. * Problems in your operating system. Restart your computer and delete any undesired print jobs.

  When your Canon Printer displays an error message: * If the printer is out of paper, reload paper and press the RESUME/CANCEL button. * For a paper jam, clear the jammed paper, reload paper, and press the RESUME/CANCEL button. * If an ink tank is empty, press the RESUME/CANCEL button to resume printing temporarily, but replace the ink tank immediately after printing. * If the print head is not installed, install it. If already installed, remove it, check the contacts for foreign matter, and reinstall. * For a defective print head, remove it, check the contacts for foreign matter, and reinstall. * If the waste ink tank is almost full, press the RESUME/CANCEL button to continue printing. Contact the Customer Care Center.
