Two large, 1.07-inch high-density print-
heads eject tiny 4pl droplets of ink through
30,720 nozzles to produce high-quality
output up to 2400 x 1200 dpi with unprece-
dented speed. An innovative ink channel
configuration accelerates print efficiency by
distributing the eight colors of ink across
the two print-heads for better ink coverage
with each pass—and greater productivity—
without sacrificing image quality.
HIGH-CAPACITY 80GB HARD DRIVE
Canon’s imagePROGRAF S-Series printers
are equipped with an extra large 80GB hard
drive that improves productivity by relieving
the workload from an operator’s host com-
puter while providing more capacity for data
storage and retrieval so multiple copies and
reprints can be made without resending job
files. Additional job management and secu-
rity features supported by the hard drive
further enhance workgroup efficiency.
HIGH-SPEED IMAGE PROCESSING
Driving data to the printer and optimizing
output functions is Canon’s advanced
L-COA processor. This intelligent high-speed
processor manages the high volume of data
required for display quality large-format
graphics and directs the print engine with
speed and accuracy.
REDUCED INK CONSUMPTION
The Economy Color Mode produces high-
resolution 1200 x 1200 dpi output on
coated and uncoated media while reducing
ink consumption from 10% to 20%.
MINIMIZE MEDIA WASTE
T
he Roll Media Preview helps the operator
determine if media waste can be reduced
by automatically rotating a print image 90˚.
Without the need to confirm rotation set-
tings or selecting the orientation, now users
can take advantage of media saving oppor-
tunities more easily.
DURABLE LUCIA PIGMENT INKS
Each of the S-Series printers feature
eight colors of LUCIA ink (Cyan, Photo
Cyan, Magenta, Photo Magenta, Yellow,
Black, Matte Black, and Gray) for a vibrant
color gamut with a depth and tone that’s
ideal for commercial graphics applications.
RELIABLE, WORRY FREE INK SYSTEMS
The large 330ml and 700ml ink tanks
available for the iPF9000S and iPF8000S
printers supply a sub-tank system so inks
can be replenished on-the-fly for longer,
uninterrupted print runs. The 130ml ink
tanks for the iPF6000S printer can be
replaced mid-print, without corrupting the
image or needing to resend the print file.
All models include an ink-level detection
system that helps ensure that ink is
always available.
