Prepare the printer by removing protective materials and opening covers.
Open the front cover and the paper output tray to access internal components.
Open the paper output cover to prepare for cartridge installation.
Remove the orange tape from the printer before proceeding.
Close the paper output cover after accessing internal components.
Connect the power cord to the printer and power outlet.
Press the ON button to turn on the printer.
Open paper output tray and cover, then lower ink cartridge lock lever.
Install the Color FINE cartridge on the left and the Black cartridge on the right.
Unpack the FINE cartridge and remove the protective tape carefully.
Close the paper output cover after installing cartridges and check display.
Check paper output tray, pull out paper support, and slide paper guides.
Insert paper with the printable side down until it stops, adjust paper guides.
Adjust paper guides and open the output tray extension.
Open the paper output tray and paper output support before printing.
Printing without opening the paper output tray causes an error.
Insert the CD-ROM into the computer to begin software installation.
Follow the on-screen instructions and select language for setup.

Install software from the CD-ROM on each computer for multi-computer use.
