Removing Packing Materials and Turning On Printer

Remove Packing Materials

Remove orange tape and protective film from the printer exterior.

Open Scanning Unit/Cover

Lift the scanning unit/cover by its hollows.

Connect Power Cord

Connect the power cord diagonally from the back.

Installing Ink Tank

Open Scanning Unit/Cover for Ink Tank

Open the scanning unit/cover to access ink tank installation.

Remove Orange Tape and Protective Wrap

Completely remove orange tape and protective wrap from ink tanks.

Remove Ink Tank Cap

Gently hook and remove the orange cap from the ink tank.

Insert Ink Tank

Insert ink tank into print head until it snaps into place.

Install All Ink Tanks

Install all ink tanks and confirm colors appear on screen.

Loading Paper and Aligning Print Head

Load Paper

Load plain LTR or A4 paper, slide guides, and align stack.

Attach Cassette Cover

Confirm Print Head Alignment

Connecting to Smartphone

Install Canon PRINT App

Connect via iOS Settings
