How to get rid of red eye in Canon Digital Camera photos?
- JJennifer AdamsSep 1, 2025
If eyes appear red in your Canon Digital Camera photos, it's likely due to light reflecting back from the eyes when the flash is used in dark areas. To reduce this, shoot with [Red-Eye Lamp] in the [Flash Settings] menu set to [On]. Ensure the subject looks directly at the red-eye reduction lamp. Increasing indoor lighting or moving closer to the subject can also help. Additionally, setting [Red Eye Corr.] in the [Flash Settings] to [On] will automatically correct red eyes while shooting. You can also correct red eyes in recorded images using the [Red-Eye Correction] feature.
