Battery Check
To check the power level of the me rcury battery after
loading:
1 Set the film speed scale at ASA 100 / DIN 21, the
shutter speed dial at any index between " 500 " and
"4", and the pre · set aperture ring at the maximum f/ stop .
For
the film speed setting , lift up the outer ring of the
shutter speed dial and turn .
2 Press the metering lever towards the lens and
aim the camera at the sky or other bright subject.
If the meter needle inside the viewfinder swings up, the
battery has suffic i ent power. Otherwise, the battery must
be replaced .
• Life of the battery in normal use is approximately one
year.
