Overview

This document provides installation instructions and product information for the CANOPY FACTORY™ Model #25757, a 10' x 20' All-Purpose Canopy.

Function Description:

The Canopy Factory Model #25757 is a temporary, all-purpose canopy designed to provide protection from sun, light rain, tree sap, and birds. It is not intended as a permanent structure and should not be used in conditions of snow, ice, heavy rain, or high winds. The canopy is assembled from a series of metal tubes and connectors, covered by a valance cover, and secured with bungee cords and base feet. Proper anchoring is crucial for stability and is the responsibility of the user.

Usage Features:

  • Assembly Process:
    1. Easy Frame Layout: All frame parts should be laid out as shown in Diagram A, ensuring all push buttons face downward.
    2. Frame Assembly: Combine the specified straight tubes, swedged tubes, and 3-way/4-way frame connectors to form the main frame, starting with the center peak and then assembling each side (Diagrams B & C).
    3. Pole Assembly: Connect one 41" Straight Tube with an extra hole for the top of the leg (#13002) to one 40" Swedged Tube for the bottom of the leg (#13004) for each of the six leg poles (Diagram D). These are set aside until Step 6.
    4. Cover Placement: Place the valance cover over the assembled frame, with grommets facing downward, allowing the valance to wrap around and cover the eaves (Diagram E).
    5. Attaching Legs: Insert the pre-assembled leg poles (from Step 3) into the frame. Part #13002 (with the pre-drilled hole) goes at the top. Insert center legs first, then corner legs, repeating for both sides. Secure legs to side bend connectors with push buttons. Insert leg extensions onto the bottom of the legs (Diagram F).
    6. Securing Cover: Use bungee cords to secure the cover. Insert the cord through the grommet, around the eaves, and then secure with the ball. Ensure an even fit, doubling wraps if cords are too loose. The bungee balls can be hidden inside the cover for a cleaner look (Diagram G, H, I).
    7. TwistTight™ Feature: To achieve a snug fit for the cover, "twist" each corner leg pole equally until the cover is very tight. Align the hole in the top of the leg with the hole in the corner side bends. Wrap the bungee cord around the cross rail, insert the S-Hook into the aligned hole of the leg pole and 3-way connector to prevent untwisting. This should be done for each corner.
    8. Base Feet: Insert the Base Feet Plates onto the bottom of the legs (Diagram J).
  • Safety Warnings:
    • Use caution during assembly.
    • Manufacturer recommends safety goggles during assembly.
    • Bungees are under extreme tension and can snap, causing injury.
    • Be aware of unsecured poles overhead that could fall and cause injury.
    • Use caution when attaching bungee cords to avoid injury.
  • Anchoring: Proper anchoring is critical for preventing damage and is the user's responsibility. Periodically check stakes or anchors for stability, especially after exposure to high winds or heavy rain. Recommended anchoring systems include screw-in anchors with cables attached to each leg, or mobile home anchors. The manufacturer is not responsible for canopies that blow away due to improper anchoring.
  • Temporary Structure: This canopy is explicitly stated as a temporary structure and is NOT recommended as a permanent structure.
  • Environmental Limitations: DO NOT expose the canopy to conditions of snow, ice, heavy rain, or high wind. The cover should be removed when strong or severe weather fronts are approaching. The manufacturer does not guarantee or take responsibility for damage caused by these conditions.
  • Fire Safety: DO NOT expose the canopy to open fire or flame, such as from BBQ grills or smoking, under the canopy.

Maintenance Features:

  • Cleaning: The cover can be easily cleaned with mild soap and water. DO NOT use harsh abrasives, bleach, or cleansers.
  • Storage (Manufacturer's Suggestion): When disassembling for the season, it is recommended to leave the poles assembled to facilitate easier construction the next time the unit is put up.
  • Replacement Parts: Replacement parts (anchoring kits, walls, tubes, additional covers, and other accessories) are available directly from the factory.
  • Customer Service: For missing parts, replacements, assembly help, or more information, contact North American Outdoor Products Customer Service at 1-800-524-9970 (Mon-Sat, 8:30 AM - 5 PM EST).
