The nutribullet® Food Processor is a versatile kitchen appliance designed for various food preparation tasks, including chopping, mixing, mincing, puréeing, slicing, shredding, and spiralizing. It features a multi-speed control panel with OFF, LOW, HIGH, and PULSE settings, allowing for precise control over processing. The unit operates on 220-240V AC, 50-60Hz, with a power output of 450W.
Function Description:
The food processor is equipped with several interchangeable attachments to perform a wide range of functions:
- Chopping Blade: This blade is used for general chopping, mixing, mincing, and puréeing of foods. It's ideal for preparing ingredients for sauces, dips, and finely chopped vegetables.
- Dough Blade: Specifically designed for combining ingredients to make dough for items like pie crusts, pizza, and bread. It helps to mix and knead dough without overworking it, which can lead to a tough texture.
- Slice/Shred Discs: These reversible discs allow for both thin and thick slicing, as well as shredding of ingredients. They are perfect for preparing vegetables for salads, gratins, or cheese for various dishes. The discs can be placed in two positions on the Blade Adaptor: a lower position for storage and a higher position for use.
- Spiralizer Disc: This attachment is used to create spirals from fruits and vegetables, offering a fun and healthy way to prepare ingredients for salads, garnishes, or noodle alternatives.
- Dual-Size Food Pusher: This innovative pusher features a smaller inner pusher within a larger one. The full-sized pusher is used for guiding larger pieces of food, such as lettuce or blocks of cheese, down the feed chute. The inner pusher can be unlocked and lifted to create a narrower feed chute, providing better control for thinner ingredients like zucchini or carrots, and is also ideal for drizzling liquids during processing.
Important Technical Specifications:
- Voltage: 220-240V AC
- Frequency: 50-60Hz
- Power: 450W
- Work Bowl Capacity: 1.7L
- Control Panel: Multi-speed with OFF, LOW, HIGH, and PULSE settings. The PULSE setting provides a burst of high-speed processing and must be held to activate.
- Safety Features: The motor will not run unless the work bowl lid is securely locked in place. The unit also features a thermal cut-out to prevent overheating, requiring a cool-down period if continuously operated for more than one minute or if the control panel lights flash three times, indicating exceeding 10 minutes of continuous running time.
Usage Features:
- Assembly: The unit requires proper assembly before use. The Work Bowl is placed on a flat surface, followed by the Blade Adaptor, and then the desired blade (Chopping, Dough) or disc attachment (Slice/Shred, Spiralizer). The Work Bowl Lid with the Dual-Size Food Pusher is then locked onto the Work Bowl, and finally, the assembled Work Bowl is locked onto the Motor Base by turning it clockwise until a click is heard.
- Food Preparation: Ingredients should be prepared (cut into smaller pieces, seeds removed) before being placed into the Work Bowl. For liquid ingredients, the LIQUID MAX line should not be exceeded to prevent overflow and potential damage.
- Operation: After plugging in the unit, the desired speed (LOW, HIGH, PULSE) is selected. A blue light illuminates over the active speed. For continuous operation, LOW or HIGH can be selected. PULSE requires the button to be held down.
- Adding Liquids During Processing: The Inner Pusher can be unlocked and lifted from the main Pusher to drizzle liquids through the narrow chute while the appliance is running.
- Safety Precautions: Users are warned to avoid contact with moving blades and discs, which are sharp. The food pusher should always be used to guide food into the feed chute, never fingers or other utensils. The appliance should not be left unattended when in use. It is crucial to ensure all moving parts have stopped before disassembling or removing food. The unit is not intended for crushing ice, which can cause permanent damage.
Maintenance Features:
- Cleaning: All detachable parts, including the Blade Adaptor, Chopping Blade, Dough Blade, Slice/Shred Discs, Spiralizer Disc, Work Bowl, Work Bowl Lid, and Dual-Size Food Pusher, are TOP RACK dishwasher-safe. They can also be hand-washed with warm, soapy water. It is recommended to clean all removable parts after each use to prevent residue buildup.
- Motor Base Cleaning: The Motor Base should never be submerged in water or any other liquid. It can be cleaned by wiping it down with a clean, damp cloth. A small brush can be used to clean the actuator system area if necessary.
- Storage: The blade attachments can be conveniently stored within the Work Bowl when not in use. The manual provides two storage options for the blades and discs. The power cord wraps under the bottom of the Motor Base for neat storage.
- Inspection: Regular inspection of the power cord, plug, and all components for damage or wear is recommended. If any damage is detected, discontinue use and contact customer service for assistance.
- Warranty: The product comes with a one (1) year limited replacement warranty covering faulty material or workmanship. This warranty is subject to conditions, including proper operation, maintenance, and the absence of misuse or unauthorized repairs. It does not cover components subject to natural wear and tear or damage from foreign objects.
