If the compressor in your Carrier Merchandiser starts and runs but short cycles on the overload protector, it could be due to: * Additional current passing through the overload protector. Check the wiring diagram and look for added fan motors or pumps connected to the wrong side of the protector. * Low voltage to the unit. Determine the reason and correct it. * A defective overload protector. Check the current and replace the protector if necessary. * A defective run capacitor. Determine the reason and replace it. * Excessive discharge pressure.
