ceedingtothenextstep.

38.Moveeachcontrolleverinbothdirectionstorelease
pressureinthehydrauliccircuits.
39.Loosenandremovethellercapfromthereservoir.
40.Drainthehydraulicoilfromthereservoir.
(A)Thereservoirholdsapproximately75.5l(20US
gal)ofhydraulicoil.
(B)Haveavailableacceptableequipmenttodrainthe
hydraulicoil.
(C)Removethedrainplugfromthebottomofthe
reservoir.
41.Removethehydraulicandhydrostaticlterelements
fromthemachine.
42.Installnewhydraulicandhydrostaticlterelements
onthemachine.
43.Installthedrainpluginthebottomofthereservoir.
44.Fillthehydraulicreservoirwithlubricant,refertoCa-
pacitiesforproperquantitiesandtype.
45.DisconnectthelinefromtheOPENendand
CLOSEDendofeachcylinder.
46.BesureallcontrolleversareintheNEUTRALposi-
tion.
47.Startandruntheengineatlowidle.
IMPORTANT:Checktheoillevelinthehydraulicreservoir
frequentlywhiledoingstep48.Haveanotherpersonhold
acontainerunderthehydrauliclineswhileyoudostep48.
48.Slowlymoveeachcontrolleverinbothdirectionsun-
tiloilbeginstoowfromtheopenline.Holdthecon-
trolleverinplaceuntilcleanoilowsfromtheopen
line.
49.Stoptheengine.
50.ConnectthesystemlinetotheCLOSEDendofeach
cylinder.
51.ConnectasuitabledrainlinetotheOPENendof
eachcylinderandplacetheotherendinanaccept-
ablecontainerforcontaminatedoil.
52.Starttheengineandruntheengineatlowidle.
53.Slowlyandcompletelyextendallcylinders.Asthe
pistonrodcomesin/outofthecylinder,oilwillbe
pushedoutoftheOPENendofthecylinders.
IMPORTANT:Anyattachmentorpartofanattachment
thatisraisedmustbesupportedwithacceptable
equipmenttopreventtheattachmentfromfalling.
