ESTIMATION
Preparing
an
estimate
for a
particular
commodi-
ty
or
job
is
time-consuming
if
the
unit
price
of
each
of
many
items
involved has
to
be
checked
by
referring
to
a price list.
This
program
permits
preparing
an
estimate
quickly
merely
by
inputting
the
quantity
and
discount
rate
of
a
particular
commodity,
which
can
be
easily retrieved
from
a previously
stored
list.
Since
commodities
are
recorded
under
CETL,
the
updating
of
data
and
the
transfer
of
data
to
or
from
an
external
device are easy.
This
program
will prove useful in
transactions
with
customers
and
in
preparing
estimates
at
shops.
When
the
program
is
started,
a
menu
is
displayed
on
the screen.
The
following describes
the
contents
of
the
menu
and
how
to
use
the
menu.
(1)
Command
1:
Storing
product
data
When
command
1
is
selected,
the
prompt
"PRODUCT
NAME
(MAX
9
CHARS)"
is
displayed.
Input
the
product
name
(of
9
characters
or
less)
and
press
the~
key.
If
a
product
name
exceeding
9
characters
in
length
is
input,
the
prompt
is
displayed
again,
asking
for
a
shorter
product
names.
The
prompt
"UNIT
PRICE"
is
then
displayed.
Input
the
unit
price
of
the
product
and
press
theg:j
key.
The
prompt
"OK
(Y/N)"
will
be
displayed.
If
you
wish
to
correct
the
unit
price
just
input,
press
the
N
key
and
correct
the
input
data.
If
there
is
no
need
to
correct
the
input
data,
press
the
Y
key.
The
product
name
af\d
the
unit
price
are
automatically
fifed in
CETL.
When
the
CETL
fife
becomes
full
of
Input
data,
no
more
data
is
accepted.
In this case,
the
message
"CETL
INPUT
OVER"
is
displayed
and
the
program
returns
to
the
menu.
After
the
product
name
and
the
unit
price are
input,
the
prompt
"END
(E/ELSE)"
is
displayed.
To
terminate
the
input,
press
the
E key.
To
continue
data
input,
press
any
key
except
the
E key. Pressing
the
E
key
causes a
return
to
the
menu.

Command
2: Preparing
an
estimate
When
command
2
is
selected,
the
program
asks for
input
of
the
product
name.
Input
the
product
name
to
be retrieved
and
press
the
r~ key.
Then,
the
message
"SEARCH!!"
is
displayed,
indicating
that
the
product
name
is
being
searched
for. When
the
product
name
is
found,
the message
"FOUND!!"
is
displayed, followed
by
the
product
name
and
the
unit
price. Herc,
input
the
quantity
and
the
discount
rate for
the
product.
The
program
then
displays
the
calculated
amount
for
quotation.
If
the
specified
product
name
is
not
found,
the
program
displays
the
message
"NOT
FOUND"
and
enters
data
entry
mode
(command
1
).
In this case, the
program
asks
