Memory protection:
The content of the memory is protected against
overflaw or error and the accumulated total is
recaited by pressing the ™# key after the overflow
check is released by the key.
4/BATTERY MAINTENANCE
Disposable battery operation:
Two alkaline-manganese batteries (Type: LR1130}
give approximately 100 hours continuous opera-
tion {500 hours on type $R1130 (G-10) silver
oxide batteries).
When battery power decreases, the display wholly
darkens. Batteries then be renewed. Be sure to
switch OFF the power before changing.
Replacement of batteries:
1) Open the back cover of the unit by loosening
the screws with a screwdriver. Unscrew the
battery cover plate. Slide it off while pressing
gently.
2) Remove dead batteries,
3) Insert new batteries with polarity as indicated.
4) Reptace the plate and the cover by screwing
carefully.
* Before inserting the new batteries, be sure to
thoroughly wipe them off with a dry cloth to
maintain good contact.
* Be sure to replace both batteries,
“ Do not leave dead batteries in the battery box as
they may cause malfunctions.
*{t is recommended that batteries be replaced
every 18 months to prevent the chance of mul-
functions due to battery leakage.

BATERIAS
Operacion con baterias descartables:
Dos baterfas de manganeso-alcalinas {tipo: LR
1130) entregan aproximadamente 100 horas de
funcionamento continuo (500 horas con baterias
de Oxido de plata tipo SR1130 (G-10)).
Cuando disminuye la carga de Jas baterias, la
pantalla se opaca totalmente. Recambie las baterias
con el aparato apagado.
Cambio de las baterias:
1) Abrir fa cubierta trasera de la unidad aflojando
los tornillos con un destornillador, Desatornillar
la tapa de! compartimienta de las baterias.
Desiizarta hacia afuera presionando figeramente.
Extraer ‘as baterias gastadas.
Insertar las baterias nuevas con las polaridades
camo se indica.
Volver a colocar el cubreplaca y la cubierta
atornillando cuidadosamente.
* Limpiar bien las batertas con un pafio seco antes
de ponerlas para asegurar que haya un buen
contacto.
* Asegurarse de cambiar ambas bater ias,
* No dejar baterias desgastadas en la unidad puesto
que se pueden ccasionar desperfectos,
*Se recomienda reemplazar las baterias cada 18
meses Para prevenir el riesgo de fallas debido a
la descarga de !as mismas.
