Why is the suction performance reduced on my Cata ALPHA6?

  Reduced suction performance on your Cata Ventilation Hood can be caused by several factors. The speed setting may be too low, so try selecting a higher speed. The distance between the hood and the hob might be too great; readjust it to 750mm for gas hobs or 650mm for electric hobs. A dirty aluminum grease filter can also cause this, so clean the filters. If you have models CLVH60SS-C & CLVH60W-C, the top vent might be obstructed, so clear any obstruction. Finally, if you're using an optional vent kit, ensure it's fitted according to the manufacturer's instructions.

  If cooking smells linger even when your Cata Ventilation Hood is working, it might be because a charcoal filter isn't fitted in recirculation mode, or the charcoal filter is full of grease. To resolve this, fit a charcoal filter if you are recirculating air, or change the filter.

  Excessive vibration in your Cata Ventilation Hood may occur if the appliance isn't properly hung on the brackets; in this case, take down the appliance and check it is properly fixed. Another cause can be a damaged fan blade. If the fan blade is damaged, switch off the appliance. Repair should be carried out by qualified service personnel only.
