AC drive motor
The size of the motor depends on the truck:
The S208L, S210, S212 and S212S use 1.0 kW drive motors.
The S212L, S214, S214L and S220D use 1.5 kW drive motors
Feature
The drive motor is xed; it doesn’t move when the
drive wheel turns. However, as a result of suspen-
sion movement of the drive wheel, the motor can
move slightly up and down.
Benet
This reduces wear on cables and allows a compact
truck design since the space usually used to allow
cable twisting has been eliminated.
Benet
The motor suspension has less wear surfaces.
Compared to the predecessors, the number of wear
surfaces has been reduced from eight to four.
Feature
Fewer wear surfaces reduces the need for service
and maintenance. When service is needed, the pro-
cedure is simple thanks to easier access caused by
the elimination of obstructing linkages on both
sides. This solution also is a quality improvement
measure since the risk of undesired play has been
further minimised.
