Drive wheel suspension
On all truck models, except S208L and
S212S with xed drive wheel mounting,
the drive wheel is suspended by a spring
assembly. Depending on the truck congu-
ration, four different kinds of spring sys-
tems are available. For details, please see
the Technical information chapter.
Feature
The S200 stackers (except S212S) have a 5-point wheel conguration with the
drive wheel in the centre. Thanks to the central placement of the drive wheel, the
tiller arm is also centred.
Benet
Because of the central placement of the
drive wheel, the machine does not pitch
when the wheel regains its grip after spin-
ning, e.g. on wet oors and ramps. With a
drive wheel placed off-centre, considerable
lateral movement can occur in these situa-
tions. The central placement of the tiller
arm makes it easier for inexperienced ope-
rators to handle the truck and ensures optimum view to both sides.
Feature
The drive wheel is placed closed to the compression-moulded frame.
Benet
Thanks to the drive wheel placement and the contour of the lower part of the frame,
the truck can easily travel across uneven surfaces and on ramps.
Feature
Suspended drive wheel
Benet
Optimal drive wheel pressure, resulting in extended drive wheel service life and
reduced steering power. In addition, this solution improves stability for high lifts
since a considerable part of the lifted weight is distributed on the castor and fork
wheels.
