panel,
is equipped with
a
Iock and,
after
being
pushed
full
in, must be
rotated
either
left
or
right until
the
knob
cannot be
pulled
out.
COOLING
SYSIEftT
Ram
air for engine
cooling enters
through
two intalce
openings in the
front
of the
engine
cowling. The
cooling
air
is directed
around
the
cylin-
ders and
other
areas
of the engine
by
baffling,
and
is
then
exhausted
through
an
opening
at
the bottom aft
edge
of
the cowling.
No manual
cool-
ing
system control
is
provided.
A winterization
kit
is
available
and
consists of
two
baffles which
attach
to
the air
intakes in
the
cowling
nose cap, a
restrictive cover
plate
for
the oil cooler
air
inlet
in
the
right
rear vertical
engine
baffle,
insulation
for the
crankcase
breather
line,
and a
placard
to be installed
on
the
instrument
panel.
This
equipment should be
installed
for
opera-
tions
in temperatures
consistently below
-7"C
(20"F).
Once
installed,
the
crankcase breather
insulation is approved
for
permanent
use
in
both hot
and cold weather.
PROPELTER
The
airplane is
equipped
with
a two-oladed,
fixed-pitch,
one-piece
forged
aluminum
alloy
propeller
which
is anodized to
retard corrosion.
The
propeller
is ?5
inches
in diameter.
