HANDLING, SERVICE
& MAINTENANCE
Most of
the
items listed
are required
by the
United States
Federal
Aviation
Regulations.
Since
the
Regulations
of
other nations may
require
other
documents
and data,
owners of airplanes not registered in
the
United States should
check with
their own aviation
officials
to
determine
their individual requirements.
Cessna
recommends that these items,
plus
the
Pilot's
Operating
Handbook,
Pilot's
Checklists,
Power
Computer, Customer Care
Pro-
gram
book and Customer Care Card, be
carried in the
airplane
at all
times.

NE INSPECTION
PERIOD S
FAA
REO UIR,ED
INSPECTIO NS
As
required
by
Federal Aviation Regulations,
aII
civil aircraft of
U.
S.
registry must undergo
a complete inspection
(annuat)
each
twelve
calendar
months.
In
addition to the required
ANNUAL
inspection,
air-
craft
operated commercially
(for
hire) must have
a
complete inspection
every 100
hours
of operation.
The
FAA
may require other inspections by
the
issuance of
airworthi-
ness directives
applicable
to the
airplane,
engine,
propeller
and
compo-
nents. It
is
the
responsibility
of the owner/operator
to ensure compliance
with all applicable airworthiness
directives
and,
when the
inspections
are
repetitive, to take
appropriate
steps to
prevent
inadvertent
noncompliance.
In
lieu
of the
100
HOIIR
and
ANNUAL
inspection requirements, an
airplane may be inspected
in
accordance with
a
progressive
inspection
schedule, which
allows
the
work
load to be
divided into
smaller
operations
that
can be accomplished
in
shorter time
periods.
The
CESSNA
PROGRESSM CARE PROGRAM
has been
developed to
provide
a
modern
progressive
inspection schedule that satisfies
the
com-
plete
airplane
inspection
requirements of
both the 100
HOUR
and
ANNUAL
inspections
as applicable
to
Cessna
airplanes.
The
program
assists the
owner
in
his
responsibility
to comply with all
FAA
inspection requirements,
while ensuring
timely replacement
of
life-limited
parts
and adherence
to
factory-
recommended
inspection intervals
and
maintenance
procedures.
