Maintenance Features:

Regular maintenance is crucial for safety and reliability. CFMOTO recommends having qualified dealers perform complex maintenance tasks.

  • Daily Safety Inspection: Check coolant, engine oil, brake fluid, wheels/tires (wear, cuts, pressure), brakes (pads, discs, dirt), chain/sprockets (dirt, wear, tightness), luggage/cargo, and dashboard indicators.
  • Lubrication Schedule: Specific intervals for engine oil and brake fluid. Lubricate more often under severe use (wet/dusty conditions), before storage, after pressure washing, or after submerging the drive system.
  • Break-in Maintenance Schedule: Specific inspections and replacements for engine oil/filter, idle, throttle system, drive chain/sprockets, electrical parts, battery, fuses, brake discs/pads/fluid/lever/hoses, tire condition/pressure, wheel bearings, shock absorbers, swing arms, coolant level/fan/hoses, steering bearings, diagnostic connector, moving parts, bolts/nuts, cables/wires.
  • Periodic Maintenance Schedule: Detailed intervals (calendar, miles, km) for engine components (oil/filter, strainer, clutch, idle, coolant, throttle system/valve, air filter, spark plug, valve clearance), electrical system (functions, battery, fuses, wires), wheels (tire condition/pressure, wheel bearings), suspension system (shock absorbers, swing arms), cooling system (coolant level/fan/hoses), steering system (bearings), chain (sprocket/engine sprocket), and other parts (diagnostic connector, mobile parts, bolts/nuts, cables/wires, pipes/ducts/hoses/sleeves).
  • Severe Use Definition: Racing, prolonged low speed/heavy load, extended engine idle, short trip cold weather operation, commercial/rental use. Service intervals should be reduced by 50% for severe use.
  • Engine Oil: Inspect level (between B marks), change oil and filter periodically. Recommended oil: 10W-40/SJ JASO MA2. Capacity: 1.51 qt (1.4 L) with filter change.
  • Spark Plug: Replace according to schedule. Type: CR8EI. Clearance: 0.03-0.035 in. (0.8-0.9mm).
  • Air Intake and Exhaust System: Oxygen sensors optimize fuel/air mixture. Air intake valve inspection for stable idling and engine power. Air filter cleaning/replacement.
  • Cooling System: Radiator and cooling fan inspection (fins for damage, obstructions). Radiator hoses check for leaks, cracks, deterioration. Coolant level inspection and filling. Use distilled water and 50/50 coolant mix.
  • Tire and Chain: Use tubeless tires, recommended standard tires/rims/valves. Inspect tire pressure (32.6 psi front/rear), tread depth (0.031-0.039 in.). Max payload: 330.7 lb (150 kg). Drive chain slack (1.18-1.57 in.), lubrication, and wear inspection.
  • Brake System: Inspect front brake lever free travel (0.12-0.23 in.), rear brake pedal free travel (0.39 in.), brake discs (wear limit 0.12 in.), brake calipers (lining plate min thickness ≥0.04 in.), brake fluid level.
  • Shock Absorber: Inspect front and rear shock absorbers for smooth function, oil leaks, scratches. Rear shock absorber is factory-adjusted.
