OPERATING YOUR VEHICLE
Pre-Ride Inspection
Before each use of the vehicle, a best practice is to complete the pre-ride inspection checklist.
WARNING
If a proper inspection is not done before each use, severe damage to the vehicle, severe injury, or death
could result. Always inspect the vehicle before each use to ensure it is in proper operating condition.
Throttle
Before starting the engine, check the throttle pedal to be sure it is operating smoothly. Make sure it returns
to the idle position as soon as the pedal is released. Regulate the speed of the vehicle by varying the throttle
position. Because the throttle is spring-loaded, the vehicle will decelerate and the engine should return to idle
speed any time your foot is removed from the throttle pedal.
Foot Brake
Before operating the vehicle, push down on the pedal to apply the front and rear brakes. When squeezed, the
lever or pedal should feel rm. A soft brake pedal would indicate a possible uid leak or low master cylinder
uid level, which must be corrected before riding. Contact your dealer for proper diagnosis and repairs.
