Air lter maintenance
1. Remove the cover panel, located in the right rear fender well.
2. Remove the cover spring clips

and remove the lter housing

3. Loosen the air lter clamp

and remove the air lter

4. Remove the foam pre-lter

from the air lter.
5. Wash the foam pre-lter gently with soap and water, and allow
it to completely dry.
6. Inspect the paper air lter and verify it is okay to reinstall. Softly
brush o accumulated dust if necessary. Install a new lter as
necessary.
NOTE:
Do not wash paper air lters, or use compressed air to clean the
paper lter media.
7. Install the pre-filter onto the air filter. Apply a thin film of
lubricant on the inside diameter of the air lter rubber seal.
8. Install the air filter and clamp onto the air filter housing inlet.
Tighten the clamp securely.
9. Reinstall the air lter housing cover and spring clips. Verify the
cover is installed correctly and is sealing properly.
