Why does my CFM A125 pilot keep going out?
    • A
      Anita BridgesAug 2, 2025
Frequent pilot outages in your CFM Indoor Fireplace can occur for a couple of reasons. The pilot flame might be too low or too high, causing the pilot safety to drop out. Clean and/or adjust the pilot flame to ensure maximum flame impingement on both the thermopile and thermocouple. Also, the vent terminal might be blocked, causing the flue gases to recycle. Check the vent terminal for any obstructions.

What to do if the pilot will not stay lit on CFM A125 after following lighting instructions?
    • K
      Kathy BentleyAug 10, 2025
If the pilot light on your CFM Indoor Fireplace won't stay lit even after following the lighting instructions, the issue could stem from a defective pilot generator (thermocouple) or remote wall switch. Ensure the pilot flame is correctly impinging on the thermocouple/thermopile. The pilot burner assembly uses both a thermocouple and a thermopile. Clean and adjust the pilot to maximize flame impingement on these components. Alternatively, a defective automatic valve could be the cause. Turn the valve knob to 'Pilot' and maintain flow to the pilot; a millivolt meter should read greater than 10 mV. If the reading is adequate but the pilot still doesn't stay on, the gas valve needs to be replaced. Note: An interrupter block (not supplied) must be used to conduct this test.

How to fix a CFM Indoor Fireplace spark ignitor that will not light?
    • I
      Isaac BurnsAug 16, 2025
If the spark ignitor on your CFM Indoor Fireplace isn't lighting, the issue could be due to a defective or misaligned electrode at the pilot. Try lighting the pilot with a match. If it lights, turn off the pilot and push the red button again. If the pilot still doesn't light, inspect the gap at the electrode and pilot; it should be 1/8" to ensure a strong spark. Another possibility is a defective ignitor (push button). Push the Piezo Ignitor Button and check for a spark at the electrode and pilot. If there's no spark and the electrode wire is properly connected, the ignitor needs to be replaced.

What to do if the CFM A125 Indoor Fireplace pilot is burning, but there's no gas to the main burner?
    • A
      Amy BrownOct 24, 2025
If the pilot light is on but the main burner isn't receiving gas, there are several potential causes. First, inspect the wall switch and wiring for secure connections. You can bypass the wall switch by using a jumper wire across the terminals; if the burner ignites, the switch is defective and needs replacement. If the switch is fine, try bypassing the wires at the valve with a jumper wire; if the burner then ignites, the wiring or connections are faulty. Also, the thermopile might not be generating enough millivoltage. Ensure the wire connections from the thermopile to the gas valve terminals are tight and that the thermopile is fully inserted into the pilot bracket. Check for grounded wall switch wires by removing them from the valve terminals. If the pilot stays lit, trace the wall swit...
