ON‐COMMAND FOUR‐WHEEL‐DRIVE
SWITCH
AND DIFFERENTIAL GEAR LOCK SWITCH
You may notice that the vehicle handles
differently in 2WD, 4WD, and 4WD‐LOCK
("DIFF. LOCK"). For example, you should
expect that the vehicle would require more
effort to turn in 4WD‐LOCK ("DIFF. LOCK").
Always stop the vehicle before changing
between 2WD and 4WD or 4WD and 4WDLOCK
("DIFF‐LOCK").
2WD / 4WD
To change from 2WD to 4WD, stop the vehicle, and then set the switch to WD. When the vehicle is in
4WD, the four‐wheel‐drive indicator will come on in the multi‐function display. To change
from 4WD to 2WD, stop the vehicle, and be sure the differential gear lock lever is set to position(a)
and then set the switch to "2WD".
