    • C
      Christian MiddletonAug 5, 2025
If your Champion Chainsaw engine lacks power or stalls, it could be due to several reasons. One common cause is old or improperly mixed fuel; in this case, drain the fuel tank and add fresh, properly mixed fuel. A dirty air filter can also lead to this issue, so clean or replace it. Lastly, a faulty spark plug can cause power loss or stalling, so refer to 'Maintaining the Spark Plug'.

Why Champion Chainsaw guide bar and saw chain are running hot, smoking or stuck?
    • Q
      qsmithAug 19, 2025
If the guide bar and saw chain on your Champion Chainsaw are running hot, smoking, or stuck, consider these possibilities: The saw chain tension may be too tight, requiring you to adjust the saw tension. The chain oil reservoir might be empty, so refill it. The guide bar groove and oil passages could be dirty, necessitating a cleaning. Finally, the automatic oiler flow might be too low; in that case, increase the oil flow.

      Gregory ShafferAug 23, 2025
If the saw chain on your Champion Chainsaw doesn't rotate, several issues could be the cause. First, check if the chain brake is engaged and disengage it. The saw chain tension might be too tight, requiring adjustment. Also, the guide bar and saw chain could be assembled incorrectly, so refer to 'Moving and Installing the Guide Bar and Saw Chain'. Inspect the guide bar and saw chain for any damage, and replace them if needed. Finally, if the drive assembly is damaged, refer to 'Service information'.

    • L
      Latoya McclureAug 27, 2025

Why my Champion 100641 engine will not start?
    • L
      Lauren RiveraNov 1, 2025
If your Champion Chainsaw engine won't start, several factors could be at play. First, ensure the fuel tank isn't empty and is filled with properly mixed fuel. If the fuel tank is full, make sure you've pressed the purge bulb 10 times, or until fuel is visible. Another cause might be a vapor-locked carburetor; to resolve this, open the fuel cap to release vapor, then press the purge bulb 20 times or more until it's 60-75% full of fuel, and let the engine cool. If the engine is flooded, move the choke knob to Position 2, press the throttle lockout, squeeze the throttle control, and pull the starter rope. Old or improperly mixed fuel can also be the culprit, so drain the tank and refill it with fresh fuel. Finally, the spark plug may not be working correctly, so refer to 'Maintaining the Spa...
