  If the motor in your Champion Air Conditioner cycles on and off, several issues could be the cause. Start by checking the voltage, as low voltage could be the problem. Also, excessive belt tension might be the reason, so adjust the belt tension. A tight or locked blower shaft could also cause this, so oil or replace the bearings after disconnecting the unit. Dry bearings, a motor pulley diameter that's too large causing motor overload, or a faulty motor could also be the cause. In the case of dry bearings, oil them. If the motor pulley diameter is too large, adjust the pulley so the motor's full load ampere rating isn't exceeded. If the motor is faulty, replace it.
