What to do if there are grease fire or excessive flames on my Char-Broil 463670619 Burner?
    • S
      Sarah WarrenAug 19, 2025
If you experience a grease fire or continuous excessive flames above the cooking surface of your Char-Broil Burner, turn off the control knobs and the LP cylinder valve. Leave the lid open to allow the flames to die down. Once the unit is cool, clean any food particles and excess grease from inside the firebox area, grease tray, and other surfaces.

Why is there a sudden drop in gas flow on my Char-Broil 463670619 Burner?
    • J
      John CarterAug 25, 2025
A sudden drop in gas flow or low flame in your Char-Broil Burner, especially if converted to LP (propane), can be due to several reasons: You might be out of gas, the excess flow valve might have tripped, or there could be a vapor lock at the coupling nut/LP cylinder connection. First, check the gas level in your LP cylinder. If gas is available, try turning off the knobs, waiting 30 seconds, and then relighting the grill. If the flames remain low, turn off the knobs and LP cylinder valve, disconnect the regulator, reconnect it, perform a leak test, turn on the LP cylinder valve, wait 30 seconds, and then relight the grill. If it doesn't help, turn off knobs and LP cylinder valve. Disconnect coupling nut from cylinder. Reconnect and retry.

How to repair a gas leak from a damaged Char-Broil 463670619 Burner hose?
    • N
      Nicole HancockAug 26, 2025
If you notice gas leaking from a cracked, cut, or burned hose on your Char-Broil Burner, immediately turn off the gas supply at the source, either on the natural gas system or at the LP cylinder. Stop using the product and replace the valve/hose/regulator. After replacing these parts, conduct a thorough leak check following the instructions in Leak Checking Your Grill.

What to do when Char-Broil 463670619 flames keep blowing out?
    • W
      wgordonAug 28, 2025
If the flames on your Char-Broil Burner keep blowing out, it could be due to high or gusting winds, low LP gas, or a tripped excess flow valve. Try turning the front of the grill to face the wind or increase the flame height by adjusting the gas valve to a higher position. If that doesn't work, refill the LP cylinder. Also, refer to the 'Sudden drop in gas flow' section for guidance.

Why is fire coming through the control panel of my Char-Broil 463670619 Burner?
    • G
      Gene MartinAug 30, 2025
If you see fire coming through the control panel of your Char-Broil Burner, it's likely due to a fire in the burner tube section caused by a blockage. Immediately turn off the control knobs and the LP cylinder valve. Leave the lid open to allow the flames to die down. Once the fire is out and the grill is cold, remove the burner and inspect it for spider nests or rust. Refer to the Natural Hazard and Cleaning the Burner Assembly pages for additional information.

    • D
      David GonzalezSep 7, 2025

Why is gas leaking between the LP cylinder and regulator on my Char-Broil 463670619?
    • S
      Sarah AllenSep 9, 2025
If gas is leaking between the LP cylinder and the regulator connection on your Char-Broil Burner (converted to LP propane), it could be due to improper installation, a loose connection, or a failure of the rubber seal in the cylinder valve. Turn off the LP cylinder valve. Remove the regulator from the cylinder and visually inspect the rubber seal in the cylinder valve for damage. If you see damage or cannot correct the leak, replace the cylinder. For more detailed instructions, see LP Cylinder Leak Test and Connecting Regulator to the LP Cylinder.
