  If you can't start a program on your Chefman Kettle, consider these points: * The kettle is not correctly placed on the power base: Fill the kettle with at least 0.5 liters of water and ensure it's properly placed on the power base. Try turning the kettle on the power base. Then try again. * The set temperature is too low: The set temperature must be at least 41°F higher than the current water temperature. Wait for the kettle to cool or select a higher temperature.

  If your Chefman Kettle stays in keep warm mode despite setting a steep time, it's because the steep timer wasn't activated. After reaching the set temperature, the steep timer must be activated by pressing the control knob. Cancel keep warm mode by pressing the start/stop button and reprogram kettle.
