HDD Fail and

Functionality
supported
1. HDD activity LED source is selected by 2 x 5 pins
headers “jumper setting” for :
a. from pin 11 of HDD (As HDD support )
b. or external HBA Card by adapter wire
2. HDD Faulty LED “Red color”, Driven from RAID
HBA Card by bellowing interface required :
a. SGPIO : follow the SFF-8485 specification
b. Discrete : need one discrete cable (port to port)
connection only reserved for those RAID HBA
cards provides such interface
c. I2C : will be the “slave” design on the
backplane board, reserve 4 pins (CLK, D/A,
GND and +5V)

1. SAS(15+7+7 pins) x 4( for HDD )
2. MINI-SAS Connector x 1(SFF-8087)
3. DC power connectors in big 4-pin D-type x 2
for +5V, +12V from power supply
4. Power alarm and mute connectors x 2
5. I2C Connector x 1
6. SGPIO Enable connector x 1
7. HDD Activity connector x 1
8. HDD Fail connector x 1
9. Fan (3P3C) connectors x 2
