Push the safety catch to the left and
open the bonnet.

When the engine is hot, be careful
when touching underhood metal
surfaces to open your bonnet.
Protect your fingers to avoid
burning them. Ensure that you
only touch the foam padding of the
bonnet support rod to avoid
burnings.

To keep the engine bonnet open,
insert the support rod in the engine
bonnet hole.

Before closing the bonnet, press the
support into the holder.
Lower the bonnet and allow it to drop
into the catch. Check if the bonnet is
engaged.

Always observe the following
precautions:
■ Pull on the front edge of the
bonnet to make sure it is latched
securely before you drive your
vehicle.
■ Do not pull the bonnet release
handle while your vehicle is
moving.
■ Do not move your vehicle with
the bonnet open. An open
bonnet will obscure the driver's
vision.
■ Operating your vehicle with the
bonnet open can lead to a
collision resulting in damage to
your vehicle, other property,
personal injury or even death.
